The Reunion [Ib fanfic]

Chapter 1

(A/N: Hello everyone this story is a collab of two creative (?) writers rithsu-san and Miniiwa. Please enjoy this collab fanfic we made and please support our other stories as well. Enjoy!)

Today, as you make your way going to Guertena's Art Museum, you meet a man wearing a white coat. He accidentally bumped into you just as soon as you were going to enter the museum.

"Ouch!" the man said.

"My apologies, young lady," he added then dusted himself up and quickly went inside the museum. You went inside soon after and looked for Garry.

You looked around but saw no signs of Garry anywhere. You decided to just stay by the reception desk and wait for him. After a while, you saw Garry running to your direction. He looked exhausted.

"Oh Ib! There you are! I'm sorry I'm late," he said.

  ▼"It's okay."

  ▼"I didn't wait too long."

  ▼"..."

"It's okay," you replied.

"That's a relief," he breathed out a sigh.

"Oh! I almost forgot! Here you go Ib, thanks for letting me use it," he smiled as he gave you the handkerchief that you lent him a while back. It was white and gave off a nice scent. It looked brand new.

You have acquired Handkerchief.

"Well then, it's been a while huh, Ib? You even look a little different than before."

  ▼"So do you, Garry." 

  ▼"Really?"

  ▼"..."

"So do you, Garry."

"Heheh.. well anyway, you want to go check around the museum? I heard they renewed the paintings, so they should look good as new! It should be safe to look at them now..." he said, sweat trailing down his forehead five seconds after (he didn't know why that happened though).

  ▼"Okay."

  ▼"I'll stay here."

  ▼"..."

"Okay.."

You then checked up many paintings.

"Serpent's Spirit"

          Beginning with this piece, Guertena began his focus on abstract art. But at the time cubism was more popular, leaving Guertena's various abstract works largely ignored.

"Aspiration"

"Marvelous World"

You don't know some of these  words.

You kept looking from one painting until Garry finally spoke.

"I-Is it just me or do these paintings sound familiar..?"

"Gah.. nevermind. Sorry Ib, lets just enjoy the museum, shall we?" You nodded.

"The Lonely Girl"

"...That painting looks familiar to me.. Ib? Do you recognize that painting?" Garry asked. Suddenly, you get a faint memory of who the girl in the painting is but you're not sure and you ended up not answering Garry's question.

"..."

"Hey... Ib, do you?"

  ▼"I'm not sure."

  ▼"No, I haven't."

  ▼"..."

"I'm not sure."

"Well.. okay then. Geez, don't be like that. You're making me worry. Anyway, just don't do that again."

  ▼"Sorry Garry."

  ▼"I won't do it next time."

"Sorry Garry," you said.

"Ah.. it's okay, I guess... but still, this painting... it looks so familiar to me," he then leaned forward and looked at the description of the painting and so did you.

"The Lonely Girl".

          This painting was made by the famous painter Guertena; this was also the last painting Guertena had ever made before he passed away. Although the painting might seem lifelike naturally, she is not based on a real person. A girl with yellow locks and a green dress stuck in thorns as a tear was formed on her closed eyes, this painting describes agony and sadness and the painter himself named the girl Mary.

After reading, you looked at Garry to see him with wide eyes. "M-Mary?! Gah! How could I forget this?!" he exclaimed.

Suddenly, the lights went out and when it came back, all of the people who were busy looking at the paintings were all gone in just a flash.

...The Painting Changed!

"What the-?!" Garry half-shouted. 

Out of nowhere, the both of you were sucked into the painting.

You looked at your surroundings and saw that it was different from the museum but somewhat familiar... and then, you remembered that...

"Are we going to be trapped in this dreadful nightmare for the second time?"

a/n: I edited the chapter cuz honestly, we were such noobs in punctuation and capitalization last year ;A; We haven't updated this in 10 months (lol) and I'm not sure if we're ever going to complete this but I've got some ideas. I'm just too lazy to write;; BUt just to let you know, Miniiwa and I are currently on hiatus (she's on semi, I'm really full-on hiatus xD) so no update yet (for like, another few months; SORRY) But anyway, thanks for reading~
