Bro-Friend to Boy-Friend (Natsu x Reader) [ON HOLD]

School

"Y/N get up and get ready for school!" I hear my mom calling me from my door. She often just opens the door and calls to me because she knows I'll wake up.

"Ok mom." I say groggily and open my eyes just in time to see here leave.

Today is the first day back at school. I'm excited but nervous to. The first day of school is always nerve wracking for me but there's always someone that's cool and collected and keeps me from freaking out. My best friend and basically my big brother Natsu.

I've known Natsu basically my whole life. He's always been like my brother. We can play and tease and roughhouse and even sleep together and think nothing of it. I always love having him close and I love having someone I can open up to. He's always been tons of fun and I know I can always count on him. Since we are the same age and in the same grade we are together a lot and he's always looking out for me.

We are now at the stage in life where we are starting to date. Of course we come to each other with problems and for advice. Being so close to Natsu I can give him honest opinions on girls and give him a girls perspective on stuff so he understands. He's a little dense but I personally think it's adorable.

I'm now dressed and ready to go. I head out the door and see Natsu walking up to my house. He lives just a few houses down so we walk to and from school together. We always have.

"Hey Natsu!" I greet him happily and wave

"Hey Y/N!" He smiles brightly and waves back at me. "All ready to go?"

"Yep! Let's go!" I say happily and jump a bit as we start walking. Natsu laughs at my enthusiasm but to me the sooner I start the day then the sooner it will end. I hate the first day of school. It's so nerve wracking.

"I know your nervous Y/N and you know I've got your back." He says soothingly and smiles at me and I feel all my worries float away.

"Thanks Natsu. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You'd be freaking out and hyperventilating." He says teasingly and I smack his shoulder. But he's right. He knows my nerves can get bad and he does anything possible to keep me calm.

"So Natsu. You still dating that one chick?" I ask casually as we walk to school.

"Lisanna? Nah. She's not for me. She's to sweet and innocent. She doesn't know how to loosen up and have fun. She's more of a goody two shoes church going type and I'm more of a rebel run across the beach naked just to hear the screams type." He says with a laugh.

I freeze and picture him running down the beach butt naked with a big smile on his face listening to the girls scream.

"Quit picturing me naked Y/N!" He yells and laughs and I blush

"I was not!" I yell at him

"Suuuure...." He chuckles. "Come on or were gonna be late." He says and grabs my hand and pulls me with him to school.

We reach school and walk to class not realizing he's still holding my hand. We didn't notice until I got to my class and said goodbye and went to walk in. I felt our hands separate and I look at him and he just smiles while I fight to control my blush.

Why? It's not like I've never held his hand before. But his hand felt so right in mine. Probably because I'm so used to it. Quit over thinking this Y/N he's like your brother and crushing on your brother is weird and just plain gross! But then again he's not my biological brother.....enough!

I bang my head on the table and groan.

"You ok Y/N?" My bff Levy asks me.

"Yeah. Just trying to clear my head."
