Bro-Friend to Boy-Friend (Natsu x Reader) [ON HOLD]

Just the beginning

I walk into school and head to class. I walk in and see gray already sitting in his seat next to mine. I take a deep breath and decide to be bold and take the initiative.

"Hey Gray." I smile as I walk up to him

"Hey Y/N. How's it going?" He asks with a smile as well

"Pretty good. Hey can I ask you something?"

"Ask away."

"Are you single?" I ask straight forward and he gasps

"Y-yeah. Why?" He stutters

"Cause I like you." I blush

"So you wanna go out?" He asks

"Yeah. Wanna meet up after school?" I ask him

"Yeah definitely."

"Great. We can decide what to do then."

"Ok." He says and the bell rings for class to start

Time skip
Lunch time and I'm with Gray again. I really do like him but my heart longs for Natsu. I try my best to brace myself for seeing him with Lucy but no matter what I do as soon as I see them together my heart sinks to the floor. I see them smiling and laughing but I see the sadness in his eyes to.

I'll admit this is killing me but it's for the best. I hope.

I have lunch with gray and get to know him. He's a really cool guy. Literally. He has a thing for ice, he says he can make ice sculptures really easily and says he can show them to me sometime.

Soon enough the bell rings and we head to our next class. I feel Natsu grab my hand and stop me.

"Go on ahead. We will be there in a second." He says and gray and Lucy keep walking.

"Y/N I don't know if I can do this the whole month!" He whisper yells. "Seeing you with him is killing me and I know the same goes for you seeing me with her!"

"I admit it is Natsu but we have to try and keep this up as long as we can. If anything this further proves the point of how we feel about each other." I tell him reassuringly

"Alright fine. But your still number one in my eyes." He says softly.

"And you in mine." I reply with a smile and pull him to class.

Time skip
After school I meet up with Gray. Levy and Natsu were waiting for me but I told them I'm hanging out with gray. The look on Natsu's face spoke volumes to me but I had to ignore it. Even though everything inside me was telling me to run to him and hug him tightly and never let him go.

I followed gray around as we walked around town and ended up at the park. We sat together under a tree and talked about everything. Our past and what we want for our future.

"Y/N this May sound bold but, would you be my girlfriend?" Gray asks shyly

"We can give it a try." I reply not really wanting to say yes

"A try? What do you mean?"

"I mean we can test the waters. See how we feel about each other before we become serious. Like we can hold hands and hug and kiss and go out like we are now but nothing to serious." I explain and he nods

"Ok I can agree to that." He replies and slips a arm over my shoulders so I lean on him. I feel his body is hard and firm. Natsu's is to but his has a little comfort to him whereas gray just feels like a ice block.

"Your body feels hard like ice." I comment

"You like it?" He asks slightly amused

"Yes and no. Yes because it shows your strong and fit but no because it's hard to relax against." I say in complete honesty
