Ichika quickly charges at the Silver gospel, and unexpectedly punctures right through it, damaging the core's distribution system. It then let out a massive explosion of golden light, blinding everything for five minutes.

Houki's Absolute Defense worked and she simply fell in the water. Ichika's saved him from the blast, but failed to save him from debris and a piece of metal struck his forehead with the force of a speeding car, knocking him out and leaving a large stream of blood going down his face and he fell down into the ocean, where the current washed him away rapidly. The security feed finally turned back on, revealing an unconscious Houki floating in the water, but no Ichika.

The harem was panicking. BIG TIME.
Rin: WHERE IS ICHIKA?!
Cecialia: OH MY GOD! ICHIKA DISAPPEARED!
Charlotte: WHERE IS HE?!
Laura: WHERE IS MY WIFE!?
Chifuyu: EVERYONE SHUT UP!
Everyone complied.

All besides Chifuyu and Ms. Yamada: DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT!
Soon they all went at each other and began fighting, with Ms. Yamada trying to stop them. Chifuyu was on her knees, her hand to her mouth, with her eyes dilating and undilating over and over. She whispered something in a volume so small, a bat would have to focus to hear it.
Chifuyu: I never told him that I love him. He died not even knowing if I truly loved him.
Then the unthinkable happened: She completely broke down and started to sob. (On a beach in China, six hours later)
