There's A New Boss Now.

" Hey there." Joelee said as she set her tray down in front of Kai's before she took a seat across from him with a large smile.

" What are you doing?" Kai questioned, arching his eyebrows as he eyed the short girl curiously.

" Sitting and eating my breakfast. That alright with you?" Joelee asked as she took a bite of her stale bread.

" No, it's not alright." Kai replied as he glared at the girl in front of him, fists clenched as he gritted his teeth in annoyance at her sass.

" Great. Thanks." Joelee said before taking a sip of her tomato juice.

" Wha-? I said no, it's not alright." Kai said as he gave her a look that basically showed how crazy he thought she was.

" And I said; Great. Thanks." Joelee countered as she bit off another chunk of her bread, keeping her eyes on her food as she spoke.

Kai stared at her slack jawed. This girl couldn't be taller than 4'9 and looked like she only weighed about ninety pounds. But yet here she was, sitting at the table of one of the most dangerous guys in the correction home. After a moment, Kai's group of friends, all being just as brutal as him, began to gather around, all taking seats next to their leader instead of the new girl.

" Sitting with me is a death wish. Why are you taking that risk?" Kai asked, his gaze shifting from his friends to the small raven haired girl in front of him.

" Please. Eating this food is more of a death wish than eating with you." Joelee said with a roll of her eyes. Kai's friends all let out soft snickers or snorts but quickly went silent when Kai glared at them.

" What do you want?" Kai asked after his henchmen went silent.

" I want you to give me the title as big boss without any bloodshed." Joelee said calmly which made Kai's eyes widen.

Rule two of juvie; If you make a name for yourself... Make sure it's one they remember.

" Is she crazy?!" The platinum blonde next to the black haired girl at Nathan's table exclaimed with a shocked expression.

" I guess so." Nathan whispered as he watched the interaction intently.

" What?" Kai asked as he narrowed his eyes, hands clenched into fists as he glared at the girl.

" You heard me." Joelee said as she took another bite of her bread before looking up at him, maintaining eye contact as she abruptly stood.

" I don't particularly like bullies and from what I've heard, you're a bit of a bully yourself. And having a bully as a boss is not okay with me. So you're going to step down before I have to take more.... Painful measures." Joelee said in a low voice before a sweet smile replaced her threatening expression.

" I'd rather not send someone to the hospital on my first day of school!" Joelee said cheerfully before spinning around, holding her tray tightly in her hands as she began to walk away.

" Hey!" Kai called after her, causing her to halt from setting her tray onto Nathan's table which was positioned near the back walls.

" Yes, dear?" Joelee set her tray down before spinning around to face him.

" What exactly do you mean by painful measures?" Kai asked as he glowered down at the shorter girl.

" I mean I'll have to resort to breaking your nose... And maybe even your arm." Joelee said in a sweet voice, batting her long black eyelashes at the male as she spoke.

" Are you threatening me?" Kai asked as he took a threatening step towards the young girl.

" Oh, I'm sorry. I must've done it badly." Joelee said before slamming him against a wall, her grip tight on the front of his shirt as she stared straight into his eyes.
