" What do you mean I can't visit him? Why not?!" Joelee snapped with an annoyed expression, arms crossing over her chest as she glared at the dark haired guard in front of her.
" What part of SOLITARY CONFINEMENT do you not understand, kid?!" The guard rolled his eyes which made Joelee grit her teeth.
" When does he get out?" Joelee growled out after a moment, fists clenching into fists as she followed the guard's movements.
" Four days. I suggest you get going. Lights out in ten minutes." The guard warned which made Joelee roll her eyes but she left regardless, knowing the consequences of being caught outside of her room at lights out.
" Did you talk to him?" Killian asked as he caught up to Joelee, keeping in pace with the younger girl as he studied her curiously.
" No... They wouldn't let me." Joelee muttered, her fists clenched as she stomped towards the cell block.
" Why the heck not?" Killian asked as he narrowed his eyes, gaze focusing ahead of them now so he wouldn't bump into anything.
" They basically just said it's in the name and told me to leave before I missed lights out." Joelee said flatly which made Killian groan.
" What a bunch of jerks!" Killian exclaimed as the two entered the cell blocks.
" I know, right." Joelee went silent as a guard raised a hand to stop them before scanning the numbers on Joelee's wrist.
When Joelee first entered Mrs. Deliry's they gave her a tattoo with her assigned pin number on her left wrist. Everyone got one when they arrived. The pin tells the guards which cell block you belong in and how dangerous you are, even gives your background history and previous crime record.
" Go ahead." The guard muttered, seemingly upset that she was in the right cell and he couldn't get her in trouble.
The guard scanned Killian's tattoo as well before Joelee and Killian were on their way again, both heading towards their cells.
" What now, then?" Killian questioned curiously, rubbing his wrist as he walked beside the younger girl.
" I honestly have no idea... I guess we just do what we normally do. It's the only thing we CAN do." Joelee replied after a moment before freezing as she entered the doorway of her cell, her blood red eyes widening in shock.
" What is it-? Oh my..." Killian stared into the room as well, jaw falling open in shock as he took a step back from the cell.
Joelee's cell was almost completely trashed, the pillows and blankets were shredded, the drawers in their dresser were all torn out and lay smashed on the ground and Joelee's books lay in shreds in the ground.
" Who would've done this?" Killian asked curiously, tilting his head to the side as he studied the dirty room.
" Alaric." Joelee clenched her fists as she whipped around as if to go fight Alaric.
" Woah, woah. Hold up, shortie." Killian said as he grabbed the back of her shirt to stop her.
" Let me go! Let me go kill him! Let me stab him with a spoon!" Joelee demanded as she squirmed frantically in his hold, trying to get Killian to let go so that she could go acquaint Alaric's face with the pavement.
" One, no. Two, maybe later but for now, no. And three, how is that even possible?" Killian pulled her back over to her cell before blocking her exit with his body as he forced her to stay within the cell so that he could easily talk her down.
" Easy. I can stab anyone with anything... Just ask... Nevermind. Just let me pass, Killian." Joelee said firmly, eyes blazing in anger as her breathing escaped in low huffs.
