Chapter 1; Another Day Of Babysitting

Hearing crying, screaming, and fighting all day gives you a headache. Today was a horrible day for me.

"Lyn, when is my mummy coming to get me?" asked Marissa

"I'm not so sure. Do you want me to call her?" I replied

"Kay" Marissa said as she started to yawn

Marissa was the only kid I was babysitting today. Thank goodness because I did not have the energy to watch any other kid. I have about 4 children that I babysit and I charge them $5.00 per hour.

Just as Marissa was falling asleep, her mum, Sally, finally came. I gave Sally her daughter's backpack and her bottles.

"Thank you so much, and I'm really sorry I'm late. I must pay you more than what I owe. Your my favorite babysitter because you don't charge me extra for being late, unlike the others" whispered Sally

"Your welcome, and it's okay because I understand that you had a lot of errands today. Many of the parents usually don't even remember that they dropped off their kid with me so I have to call them and remind them" I replied

After Sally took Marissa, I locked the daycare door and put my money in my savings jar. Jhené, my best friend for life, and I were saving our money so we could buy an apartment somewhere far away, but we aren't even close to our goals. After I did that I quickly ran into the bathroom, undressed myself and hopped in the shower. I stood there thinking about my past life. It made me shiver thinking about Joshua, my ex.

I took a 10 minute shower, which relaxed me a lot. I put my ombre hair in a bun while I looked for a t-shirt and pajama shorts. After that shower, I quickly fell asleep.
