Chapter 29 *Our last Stand*

Alex's pov

I was standing in the balcony alone looking at the woods

Klaus came and stood next to me , he kept looking at me

"Arent you gonna say something?"he asked I turn to him

"This day is getting worse and worse , why did you lie Klaus? Why didn't you tell me the truth? Did you think that I wouldn't let you go through with it?"I asked

" Well, perhaps I didn't want to know either way."he said

"Where do you even get a White Oak stake?"I asked

" It was decades ago. I was gonna destroy it, but the weight of immortality was heavier then."he said
"Maybe the girls can buy you some time"I said

"The magic in Hope is rooted too deeply. Tonight, when she's trapped in that space between human and beast, that's when the girls can remove it from her."he said

"Are you sure that there's no other way?"I asked

" There's always another way. Somewhere, written in some forgotten language, in some city lost in lava, likely lies buried the secret to having everything I want all at once. But I'm not gonna find it today, and today is all I have."he said I turn my head to the woods than to him again

"I am going to tell Caroline to convince ric to let the girls help you out with this , not just for hope but for you Because you are being a good father. And I can't believe I am saying this ...... because you are being a good person, and how could I tell you not to do that when that is all that I have ever wanted for you to be.....a good person"I said I sigh

"Just wait here"I said

Ric finally agreed to let the girls help hope thank god

Klaus was standing at the town square watching hope dancing with a boy
I walked and stood next to him

"Dont kill him"I said he smiled

" Don't worry. I'll behave myself."he said than he turn his head to me

"Thank you, for helping me with this , and for believing in me"he said

"I see the good in people so..."I said he smiled

"So do you forgive me?"he asked

"I forgave Kai , I Forgave Damon , so why not you"I said with a smile

"This may be our last stand together , don't you want to say anything?"he asked

"I really have a lot of stuff to say but I'll make it short because I am not good on talking a lot"I said he nods

"You Klaus were my first Happiness , I stood against my friends for you because I loved you.......but our love didn't last for long it was too short...our love wasn't over Klaus and I know you believe that too"I said he kept looking at me and didn't say anything , he lean in but he rest his forehead against mine , we almost kissed but the clock ball ring
I pull away

"I think we need to get back to the school. It's time."I said

"We'll be right behind you. She can have the next five minutes dancing."he said I looked at hope she was happy dancing with the boy

"Aren't you gonna tell her?"I asked he didn't answer

"Aren't there a million things that you want to say to her? About life, boys, or how to file taxes? I don't know."I said

"She'll figure it out. What I want to do is I want to stand here, and watch my daughter dance with a townie."he said I looked again at hope than looked back at him , I put my hand on his shoulder and left

I was walking to school when I saw Elijah

"Hello miss lockwood"he said

"Good thing I saw you Elijah I have to tell you something"I said
