Ami Brown was worried about two of her seven children. Of course she worried about all of her children all the time, it's what mothers' do. However two of her children she was extremely concerned about. Two of her sons, Bam and Bear, had been acting extremely out of charector.

Bam was personally already a very quiet and resolved young man. Lately however Ami had noticed him becoming even more withdrawn. He was still with the family but things were changing. Small things. Little things. Things only a mother would notice really.

And Bear....Hmm, Bear had Ami very worried. Her third oldest son was usually found high up in a tree, running around the island, or digging in the dirt somewhere. All of these were his favorite things to do and the extreme activities always brought her son such joy...until lately. It had been some time since Ami had seen her son doing any of these things. Bear had become quiet and sullen when usually he was so lively.

As she stood on her front porch watching her children talking around the bon fire a pair of arms wound their way around her waist and her husband, Billy, laid his head apun her shoulder. "What's wrong, my love?" Billy asked.

Ami laid her hands on top of her husbands, "Something is bothering two of our sons."

Billy kissed her cheek, "Ami, they will be okay. It's hard for young men in the bush. "

"I know. I'm their mother. I know them better than anyone. It's more than that. They're giving up, Billy. When was the last time you saw Bam smile? Or saw Bear climb a tree other than looking out for camp?"

Billy squeazed his wife lightly, "They will be okay. There's still time. Now, time for dinner. "

Ami sat infront of the bon fire eating her deer and potatoe stew while watching her family. Billy was right of course there was still time...but the mother in her couldn't stop worrying about her boys. She could only worry....and hope.
