You watched him too often. He was mysterious, a shadow making his way into the camp and leaving with no one remembering his name at all. But you did. That's why when he went missing, everyone thought you were crazy talking about some guy that never made his presence known. You only knew from the first time his icy blue eyes caught yours.
You were the only female on base so most men looked at you with lustful eyes but something about his look was different. Not lost, but wonder. You'd share glances everyday until the day he wasn't there to look at you.
Days, weeks, months. You started to forget yourself until you were on night patrol one night. You heard footsteps behind you then this person sat next to you.
"Officer (Y/L/N)" You turned and scoffed until the eyes caught you. It was him.
You had no words and neither did he. He locked lips with you and at dawn, you snuck into his tent.
