Train

A train rolls across the tracks
Smiles are what the dreary cabins lack
No happy children
Who run around in the dead of night
Only young adults
Who are trapped in their own minds

A train runs across the tracks
No one paying mind
To the wife just smacked
The youngest on board only sixteen
Trying to remain unseen

A train speeds across the tracks
The dead silence is a loud fact
A twenty year old
Bitter to the bone
He no longer wants to be alone

A train barrels off the tracks
The conductor thanks God
For his merciful act
Manic laughter erupts from the seats
The young men and women
Are finally free
Their deaths will be such treats
