Aren't these all acts?
Acts to keep up appearance
To save face?
We hide our true intentions
Cover up information that could destroy us
Hurt those closest to us for power
All to keep our dirty little lies a secret
I guess it's hard to tell the truth when you've always lied
Maybe that's because we are supposed to lie to survive
If that's the case
Can we stop with the pretending?
