Descendants

Chapter 1

"Once upon a time, long, long ago... well, more like 20 years ago... Belle married her Beast in front of 6,000 of their closest personal friends. Big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected king of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks... basically all the really interesting people... and he booted them off to the isle of the lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my home. No magic. No wi-fi. No way out. Or so I thought. Hang on, you're about to meet us. But first this happened."

~In Auradon~

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king next month? You're just a baby!" King Beast spoke lovingly towards his son. He was referring the the upcoming coronation that they were currently preparing for in a few weeks.

"He's turning 16, dear." Queen Belle said brushing her hand against her husbands shoulder. Their only son was growing up too fast. It only seemed like yesterday when they were holding him for the first time.

"Hey, pops." Ben said trying to get his parents attention.

"That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." Beast said still distracted by the thought of his son becoming king. Belle and him hadn't realized that their som had spoken to them.

"Uh, you decided to marry me at 28." Belle said as she smiled.

"Ah, it was either you or a teapot." Beast smiled as he looks down at his wife. She frowns at him with a slight smile. "Kidding"

"Mom, dad..." Ben said trying to get their attention again. They finally both looked at their son who was being fitted for his coronation outfit. "I've chosen my first official proclamation. I've decided that the children on the isle of the lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon." The king and Queen don't try to hide their surprise as their son speaks. They let their mouths fall open and their eyes opened wide. "Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned."

"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?" Beast said to his son as he attempted to talk some sense into him. He had worked so hard to keep Auradon safe from the evils of the villains.

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them." Ben said trying not to upset his father. There was a moment of silence as his parents took it all in.

"Have you?" King Beast asked. He was getting slightly agitated with his son and the fact that he wasn't even king yet but had the idea to bring back villains. Belle noticed that her husband was getting irritated and looped her arm around his.

"I gave you a second chance. Who are their parents?" Belle asked successfully calming down Beast for a moment.

"Cruella De Vil... Jafar... Evil Queen... Maleficent... and Hades" Ben made sure to pause before he said the last two as he took in his fathers anger. He felt the anger swell and wash over him.

"Maleficent! Hades! They are the worst villains in the land!" Beast raises his voice attempting to talk some sense into his son. This idea was ridiculous and there was no way that he would allow it to happen.

"Dad, just hear me out here!" Ben spoke to his Dad.

"I won't hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes." Beast spoke sharply making Ben almost stay silent.

    "Dad, their children are innocent. Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?" Ben asked as he looked at his father. He knew his father wouldn't be able to say no to him if he had a point.
