day 3

-

"please can i go now?" i asked mr gordon timidly.

it was 9pm and i was regretting lying to him just to leave early yesterday.

2 hours of a middle aged teacher taking advantage of you was absolute hell.

"yes, miss hart" he smirked, "but we should do it for 2 hours every night"

i left without another word, and once i was outside of the school building, i threw up into a bush.

this was destroying me mentally.

again, i headed in the direction of the library.

i wouldn't be able to look my parents in the eye if i went home straight away. they do so much for me and they would be heartbroken if they ever found out what was really happening when i stayed after school.

i had finished the hobbit last night so i decided to find another book.

i once again brushed my fingers along the line of books, until i placed my hand on of mice and men.

however, another hand had placed itself on the book at the exact same time as i had.

"oh i'm sorry" i gasped, quickly removing my hand. "you can have it"

i looked up to see that it was the boy with the scars, and he was smiling softly at me.

and damn, he was tall.

"no it's okay" he said, "you take it. i've already read it anyway"

his voice was so soothing, and i couldn't help but smile back at him.

"thank you" i replied.

he gave me a small nod and continued his search for a new book.

just as i was about to sit myself in my blue beanbag, i noticed that janet was hurrying towards me.

"is everything okay?" i asked her.

"of course it is, dear" she smiled, "i'm coming to ask what you think about him"

i was confused for a moment, until she nodded her head in the direction of scar boy.

"oh! um.. well he's very quiet" i giggled quietly, "but he seems nice enough"

"and he's quite a handsome young lad too" she smirked, walking back to her desk.

i playfully rolled my eyes at her and opened my new book.

about 10 minutes later, scar boy returned to his usual armchair with a heavy black book in his arms.

"i like to keep myself occupied" he whispered, noticing the surprised look on my face.

"i can see that" i replied, letting out another giggle.

"good luck with that book by the way" he said, looking at the of mice and men book that was placed in my lap.

"i could say the same to you" i said, nodding at the thick book that was with him.

his cheeks turned that cute shade of pink again, and i think mine did too.

"happy reading" he whispered.

"happy reading" i whispered back.
