Chapter Two : Heart Beat

When I got to the big berry bushes, I quickly checked if any guards were watching then I popped a couple of berries in my mouth and ate them with pleasure. I smiled then the taste consumed me and I began to eat more and more.

 I suddenly heard a raspy voice yell out "HEY YOU THERE". I saw the guard point at me wal rushing over. I suddenly panicked and dropped hugging my knees tightly. The guard grabs a fist full of my hair and yanked me up and started partly dragging me to the whipping pole.

I started crying out in fear "no please give me a second chance!". They tied my hands around the pole with rope then ripped the back of my shirt apart. "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET, WHEN YOU DISOBEY" the guard yelled.

 He then cracked the whip against my back making a flaming, burning sensation on my back. I cried out in pain and began crying and gripping the pole tightly. I witnessed some my blood jump off the whip and land next to me.

They lashed at my back once again but they went harder this time. They did a few more times but they went harder with each crack of the whip. "STOP" I heard a voice yell loudly. They guards quickly looked somewhat worried then they bowed their heads down in grief.

"What has this man done" I heard the voice say once again. "He was caught eating some of the harvest, so I had to punish him" the guard replied confidently. "That's enough! Untie him before I have your head on a stake" The voice said angrily. The guard quickly untied me with a worried expression on.

I suddenly saw prince Hoseok stand in front my me as I stayed on my knees struggling to keep my back up. "Take him into the palace and get him a bath" Hoseok said to the guard. "Y-yes sir.." the guard replied afraid.

I slowly blacked out as the guard lifted me up and began walking away with me..

                                                                            -Later-

I slowly woke up and noticed I was laying in an elegant, velvet bed. So..warm..I thought. Wait a second..I opened my eyes and realized I was in the palace I quickly sat up and saw Hoseok staring at me. "No..lay down you need to rest.." he said wal caressing my hair. I slightly moved my head away from his hand, then spoke "why am I..here?."

Hoseok just stared at me then he spoke "you will be working in the palace from now on, your sleeping quarters are in the basement." I suddenly felt a bandage on my back then looked at Hoseok with a confused face on. "We has a doctor come in and heal your back, can't have our servants in the palace in poor condition.." he replied.

Before I could reply Hoseok spoke, "you will report here and serve me with all my needs." I noded my head then went to get outta bed but he grasped my elbow. "Stay you need to rest" he quickly explained. I noded my head then stayed in bed.

I wonder how he'll treat me..I thought. Hoseok smiled at me then I felt my heart skip a beat. Why did my heart beat so loud?..
