Chapter Eight

Nashis' POV

After we unpacked we had dinner and went to bed. Big sis and I share a room while Jellal Had his own room. 

"Hey sis," I called into the dark. "I'm sure Papa will welcome you home after we wipe out the fairies."

"I don't think I want to go back." I hear her mutter back. "He's not my Father anymore."

"Silvia..." I start. "He is just mourning mom still."

"It has been long enough!" She yelled. "I'm better now, Hell even you are better now. He isn't mourning her he just hates me!"

"Girls!" We freeze and look at the door. "Right now we should only be thinking about one thing."

It was Jellal with his natural hair and his tattoo back.

"Mister Jellal..." I whisper.

"We just need to focus on the mission at hand. We will deal with your father when it comes to it." He turned and shut the door.

"Silvia," I started.

"Don't." She hissed and turned over.

"Um," I looked at her back. "Goodnight."

When there wasn't a response I rolled over and stared at the wall. This is going to be a long mission.

Lukes POV.

I got up early today and went to the guild. I was planing to go on a mission today since I haven't gone on one in a while.

"Hi Luke!" Aunt Mira greeted when I walked into the guild hall.

"Morning." I greeted back.

"Why are you here so early?" She asked.

"Oh I am planning to go on a mission today." I answered.

"All alone?" She looked worried.

"Well I am not part of a team so I don't see why not." I walked over to the request board.

"Why don't you take Mel with you. I'm sure she can help you." Aunt Mira called.

I froze and looked at her.

"Last time she struck me with lightning because Storm called her a light lacrima." I shuddered at the thought of it.

"Well can you at least bring someone." She looked at me with a grin. "Take one of our new members."

"New members?" I asked.

"Yeah, a dad and his two daughters. I am sure one will go with you." Aunt Mira looked in the corner of the hall. 

I followed her gaze to see a girl about my age.

She had light blue hair in a braid. She also had dark gray eyes.

"I believe that one is Lizzy, she is a quiet one." Mira made her way to me. "She's been here since I opened the hall."

"I didn't even notice." Something about her seems familiar.

"Well go ask her." She nudged me.

"Okay I will." I stated slightly annoyed by by the nudge.

I walked my way over to the girl who was nose deep in a book. She had a notebook by her side taking notes.

"Um, Hello." I said startling her.

"Hi..." She looked at me.

"I'm Luke," I looked away and rubbed my neck. "Do you want to go on a mission with me?"

Silvias POV.

I was reading a book about fairy tails history when I was startled out of my thoughts.

"Hi..." I looked at him.

"I'm Luke," He looked away and rubbed his neck. "Do you want to go on a mission with me?"

"Oh, Um sure." I said closing my book. "I'm Lizzy."

I held out my hand to him and he shook it.

"Great!" He exclaimed.

"But first I need to ask my dad." I let my eyes fall onto the table.

"Okay, I'll go with you." Luke smiled and started walking to the door.

I followed him and led him to the cabin. When we got there I invited him to wait in the living room.

I walked upstairs and towards Jellals room. He was awake and sitting at his desk.

"Jellal," I called. "May I go on a mission?"

"Alone?" He asked worriedly.

"No a member of the guild asked me." I looked into his eyes.

"Hmm," Jellal was lost in thought. "Okay but I need to meet them first."

"Oh he's..." I was cut off by a scream.

Realizing it was Nashi, Jellal and I ran downstairs. Jellals hair turning black as we rain.

I ran downstairs to see Nashi with his fist lit up.

"Lisette!" I called gaining her attention.

"Big sis! There is an intruder!" She yelled.

I ran up to her and put my hands on hers.

"Sis, He is my friend!" I looked her in the eye.

She calmed down and let her flames die. I turned to Luke.

"I am so sorry. My sister is easily startled." I apologized.

Luke snapped out of whatever trance he was in and smiled.

"It's okay." He looked over my shoulder. "Sorry for startling you."

Nashi just shrugged and went back upstairs.

"Luke meet my dad, dad Luke." I said as Jellal stepped forward.

"Luke I have some conditions on her going on a mission." Jellal looked serious.

"What are they?" Luke asked.

"One it can not be more than a days trip from here. Two, it can not have anything to do with people. Monsters only." Jellal stepped real close to Luke. "Three, make sure to bring my daughter back safe."

"Of course sir." Luke stiffed up.

"Okay!" Jellal clapped his hands. "Well pack a bag Lizzy and get going. Don't forget to have fun!"

After I packed Luke and I went back to the guild hall. It was more packed than earlier.

"I'll go pick one out you can relax for a bit." Luke turned and walked away.

I went back to my corner and was surprised my stuff wasn't touched at all. I went back to reading and waited for Luke.

"Lizzy!" I hear my name being shouted.

It was the girl from yesterday. I think her name is Melissa.

"Hello Melissa." I greeted.

She sat down at my table and we started to get to know each other more.

I put my books and notebooks away and laugh with Mel until Luke tells me it is time to go.

The mission is to go to Acalypha town and to defeat a demon that captures women at 3am. The reward is 50,000J

"sounds good." I said after reading the paper.

Suddenly the doors fly open revealing Nova and Cedric in exceed form. 

"Cedric! Nova! Over here!" I yell gaining their attention.

"Your dad sent us to help you." Cedric informed.

"First you need guild marks." I laughed.

After we bring them to get their marks we decided it was time to go.

I can't wait to go on my first mission in a light guild.
