[Ring]

You turn your head away from your homework to your [Favorite Color] phone resting on your nightstand. You check the time to see it was 6:00. You answer your phone before the third ring. "Hello, this is [Y/N] [L/N]. Who is this?"

"Umm how about you guess [Nickname]!"

You drop your poilte personal at the sound of your best friend, Jankio. You chuckle at his playful tone. "Good evening Jankio. How it going?"

"Aww you didn't guess!" You can hear him pout from the another side of the phone. "Anyways life is good here in America but it's lonely without my partner in crime!" You laugh as continue to finish your homework.

"I'm sure you can manage."

You hear him pout again. "How's life in Japan. You're going to that rich school right?"

"Ouran Academy? Yeah apparently I was able to get in with a scholarship with my good grades."

"Didn't school already start over there?"

"Yeah that's why the school made do the work that I missed the past two weeks. I'm almost done with it. I just need one more assignment."

"How boring!" You laugh.

"It can't be helped. It's one of the best schools in Japan and it's close to where auntie and I live."

"Huh. Hey how is your dad?"

You turn to look at your door of your room. If you focus hard enough you can hear your auntie talking over the phone with your dad.

"As good as he'll ever be."

You and Jankio continue to talk until It was 9:30. You hear Jankio mom yelling at him to go to bed so you bid each other good bye.

You put your phone on your nightstand then put your now complete work in your binder. You turn off the lights and turn on your nightlight. You closes your eyes still thinking about what might happen tommorow.
