For half an hour, we sat at the bar and shared our demons. Klaus did most of the sharing. When I was getting bored, I went up to the bar and started chatting up this one guy. He was kind of cute, but he did not compare to Kol. I think his name is Derek.. or Devin? At that moment, I didn't care and just wanted to get Kol out of my mind.

When things seemed to be going further, I backed off, "I shouldn't be doing this. I'm engaged."

"You're engaged?" He laughed and shook his head. "If you're engaged, but find yourself flirting with a stranger, I think there is something wrong with your engagement."

"Maybe. Our relationship seems to be a little dysfunctional. I did think he was dead until yesterday," I said with a shrug.

His hazel eyes widened, "Oh, wow."

"Yeah, he hasn't even told me he is back, but thats like him. It's happened before," I said with a sigh and took another sip of my bourbon.

"That's pretty messed up," He says as he raises his eyebrows.

I nodded my head in agreement, "A lot of things in my life are messed up. He is one of them." I point at Klaus.

"Who is that?" Derek or Devin asks.

"My cunning best friend. He is so damaged, just like everyone in my life. I seem to attract people like that. Are you damaged?" I turn to him, the drink overpowering my self control.

His face goes grim, "I think everyone is damaged."

He kept talking but his words never entered my thoughts. I found myself watching Klaus and Cami. Klaus shows Cami Papa Tunde's blade, a blade with the power to power to embed itself into its victim's chest. It brings them to unconscious state, allowing them to only feel constant and extreme agony. They spoke before he got up, as if he is about to leave. I stand up and watch him. Before he can go, Cami grabs him by the arm. They exchanged words before they started to slow dance.

When I realized Derek of Devin was still talking, I turned back to him, "I'm sorry. Thanks for the chat, but please stop talking and forget about me."

He instantly stops and walks away, leaving me alone with my bourbon and the sight of Klaus and Cami dancing. I watched them dance and Klaus lean in. I almost choked when I thought they were going to kiss, but he only rested his forehead against hers. Klaus suddenly spins her quickly. I can see Cami smile, but it disappears when Klaus does as well. Her smile is replaced with the look of disappointment. I followed him.

His tracks left my the car led to a cabin where I presumed Davina was. Klaus did not see me, and I decided to stay hidden.

"Enough games, Davina! Send out my father! Let's finish this," Klaus shouts.

Inside, I can hear Mikael shouting, "Release me! Or I will kill you right now!"

Klaus was getting very impatient, "DAVINA! Is this not why you brought him for? I'm not afraid!"

I could hear someone chanting inside; someone who did not sound like Davina.

After moments of silence, the front door creaks open. Out walks Mikael who is smirking, "Hello, boy."

Klaus tried to seem unfazed, but I could feel Klaus's strength faltering at the sight of his abusive father.

"You seem rather impatient. Are you so eager to meet your end?" Mikael asks while his eyes sparkle.

Klaus responds in an angry tone, "I'm only eager to stand over your burning corpse again. Only this time, I intend to enjoy it more."

Mikael stalks down the steps of the porch, "I've traveled all the way back from hell for this moment."

With a smile, Klaus opens his arms, "Well, then, I'd hate to keep you waiting!"

Klaus lunges at Mikael with unbelievable strength. They jack at one another and manage each other's punches. Mikael had the upper hand as he kicks Klaus onto the ground. With another kick, Klaus is lying flat on the ground. Mikael grabs Klaus in a choke hold and is about to stake him. Before he can, I am behind Mikael and grab him by the shoulders before sending him flying.

Mikael grins maniacally, "Of course the Mikaelson play thing is here."

Klaus shuts him up by stomping on Mikael's hand that was reaching for the white oak stake that was between the two of them. The fighting continued, only I joined this time. Punches and kicks were flying about from both parties.

One hit sent Klaus backward, and Mikael used this to his advantage by grabbing me and biting my neck. I felt him rip out my windpipe. As I cried out, I scratched his eyes and face. When he dropped me, Mikael knocked Klaus to the ground. Once gain, he got him in a chokehold. My eyes felt droopy. Damn. Should not have drank that much.

Klaus's screams of pain brought me back. I brought myself back to my feet. I grabbed Mikael by the neck and ripped it out using my teeth. At the same time, Klaus plunges Papa Tunde's blade into Mikael's chest. When I pull away, Mikael falls to the ground. When I tasted the bitterness of Mikael's blood, I spat it on his body that now was shaking.

Klaus pulled out the stake that was in his shoulder. His eyes remained on Mikael's body as he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back. We pulled away at the sound of Cami's voice.

"Where is she? If something happened to her, Klaus, I swear to God--" Cami was cut off my voice.I shut my eyes in annoyance, "After a fight like that, your annoying voice is the last thing I want to hear."

Klaus spoke before Cami could respond to me, "Davina's fine. She'll wake with a spectacular headache, but given her intentions for me, she should count herself lucky."

When Cami sighs in relief, Klaus smiles and jokes, "'Course, if you drop dead of a heart attack, I may have to kill her on general principle."

"You're the one that ditched me at the bar! I had to hitch-hike and then run on the backroads of the Bayou!" Cami exasperates.

Klaus looked amused, "Well, your perseverance is duly noted."

I groaned in frustration, "Your flirting is making me sick."

"Oh, shut up!" Cami exclaims."I'm so mad at you guys, I can hardly speak. But, I am here, and it is to tell you-- not to bargain with you, and not to shame you, but to tell you-- under no circumstances will you hurt that girl, do you understand me?"

Klaus opens his mouth, but stops himself and thinks before speaking, "You have my word."

To his surprise, Cami rushes over to him and envelopes him in a hug. When they pull apart, Cami gestures to the body on the floor, "Is that Mikael? Is he...?"

Klaus shakes his head, "He's still alive... in complete and utter agony. I decided to take your advice and keep him that way."

Cami nods, looking both proud and concerned.

"I don't know, Nikki. I think we should kill him," I said with an uneasy feeling.

"Of course, you would want to do that," Cami glares at me.

Sorry for the late update! High school is already stressful! I'll try to get back on track as soon as possible. :)
