First day of Kindergarten

Jaehyun POV:

Mommy woke me up earlier than usual. She told me that today, I was going to school! I'm super excited. Everyone in the cartoons went and now I'd finally go!! I hope the Bubble Guppies are there.

At school..

We are now here.. this doesn't look like the schools in the tv.. this looks like a plain old school. There are no Bubble Guppies. No nothing. I thought it would be fun. ;(

Everyone is playing on the playground, I guess I will go too! Me and mommy on the slide. But the other kids' mommies and daddies aren't here.. huh.

"Mommy! Let's go on the slide!" Jaehyun exclaimed, pulling his mom's hand towards the playground.

Mommy Jung stayed put.

"Jaehyun, sweetie, I forgot to tell you this. At school.."

"Yes mommy?"

"At school, parents are not allowed to stay with their kids the whole day. That's a no no. You are supposed to stay here, by yourself, learning and playing with the kids and teachers."

Jaehyun frowned. "Oh.. well, when will you come back?"

"Soon.." Jaehyun's mom said,

"Anyways, make sure to eat your lunch, and if you're lonely, make new friends. I'm sure someone here would love to play with you."

"Okay Mommy.."

"Bye Bye Jaehyun, have a good day." She said, giving her son his backpack and kissing his chubby cheeks.

"Bye mommy!" He said, waving off to his mom, watching her zoom off in the car.

Little Jaehyun walked over to the teacher.

"Oh, you must be Jung Yoonoh!"

"Jaehyun."

"Oh.. Jaehyun. Okay, give me your backpack sweetie, and then you can go play with the kids. We will go back to the classroom in 20 minutes. Have fun!"

Jaehyun walked over to the playground, feeling a bit nervous. He had never been around these many kids before. He counted how many there were.

"17.. and me.. so that means.. 18 kids in my class."

Jaehyun still didn't feel ready to play with the others yet, so he sat down on a bench.

There was a red haired boy and a boy with grey-ish hair dancing in front of 2 other boys.

"So cool.." Jaehyun said.

There were two boys on the swing. The one with seagull eyebrows was trying to swing higher than the boy with the tanned skin.

"Yah Hyuckie! Wait for me!"

"No hahahahaha!!"

Jaehyun watched all the other kids playing, looked around some more, and saw 3 kids playing tag. He decided to join.

He walked up to them, and one of them said hi.

"Hi! Wanna join our game of tag?"

"Y-Yeah.."

"Okay!" One of the boys tagged Jaehyun.

"Tag! You're it!"

Jaehyun started chasing the boys, he kept running as fast as little legs could go, but all of them were super fast. He wasn't looking where he was going, and tripped over a rock.

"Ow.." he muttered.

He looked down at the bleeding cut on his knee, and he started crying.

The 3 other boys rushed over to tell the teacher.

But another little boy went over to him.

"Hi, may I see your knee?" He asked.

Jaehyun sniffled and nodded.

The other boy pointed to a swing and Jaehyun sat there.

He bent down and put a bandaid from his pocket on Jaehyun's knee.

"There. All better!"

"Thank you very much." A now smiling Jaehyun said.

"No problem. My name is Doyoung."

"I am Jaehyun."

"Are you new here? I haven't seen you before."

"Yeah, I just came this morning."

"Cool. Do you wanna be friends?"

"Uh- I- Um.."

"You?"

"I'll think about it." Jaehyun replied.. nobody ever said that to him. He didn't know what to say, but he felt like saying yes.

"Okay. Oh look! Mrs. Lee is signaling for us to go to class. Let's go!"

Doyoung started to run, and then he stopped and walked back to Jaehyun.

"I forgot. You shouldn't run because you got hurt. I'll walk with you."

And so the two boys walked to class.

They sat down in their seats, Jaehyun sat in the front of the room, while Doyoung was in the back.

"Class, we have a new student. His name is Jaehyun. Jaehyun, please stand up."

"Hi everyone, I am Jung Yoonoh, But I prefer you call me Jaehyun."

Everyone said, "Hello! Welcome to Room 18."

"Jaehyun, is your cut okay? Taeil, Yuta, and WinWin told me about it." The teacher asked, looking down to see his knee.

"Oh! Its fine now. My new friend Doyoung put a bandaid on it." He said while smiling, turning his head to see Doyoung at the back of the room.

Doyoung smiled back, glad to see that he made a new friend.
