I remember running, almost like I was running for my life. They were chasing me...but I don't know what "they" were. They were fast, however, dangerous too...I was scared. That's all I remember. Now every day I have to take medicine, inject myself to keep me sane. People are terrified of me so I have to stay in a house, all by myself far, far away from the city, I'm alone...and scared. When it happened I was feeling my lonesome self. Sitting in the largest room in my house. I always just sat there wondering what it feels like to have sanity. I knew very little of my never-ending, painfully lonely life. Wondering when excitement will crawl into my silent home. It just burst into my house. Not at first at least. I decided to sneak down my stairs to try to get a better look at my first sign of excitement in countless years.
I Peered around the corner and saw nothing. I blankly looked into the room disappointed. I was so confused, I swear I heard something moving into my house. Something definitely burst in. I turned around and took a step onto the first stair. There it was again. The shuffling across the floor coming from the other room down the hall. I tiptoed slowly down the hall to take a look in the other room. I attempted to be as silent as possible though the creaking floors weren't helping much. I looked through the doorway and saw something horrifying. I looked at the creature who was curled up in a ball in the corner of the room and didn't say a word. It noticed my presence when the damn floor board decided to tell everyone that it existed and did a loud creak. It looked up at me in such shock I jumped a little. It looked disgusting, it was tall, skinny. You could see the figure of its bones through its skin, and its fast pace breathing didn't help it much as the skin on its nose was melted all over its nostrils.
Its sad eye didn't break eye contact with me. It spat out the words, 'Help me.' I took a step back in horror and tried to find my words, but it felt like someone was gripping my throat, and I couldn't find my voice. It crawled closer and closer to me, I could see maggots oozing out of its other eye, that's when I decided to run. I darted for my room. Running up the stairs, I stumbled a bit but it was following behind me, I had to be quicker. I slipped around the corner and ran into my room locking the door. 'The fuck was that thing?' I had asked myself. I breathed in deeply attempting to calm myself. I could feel my heart pumping out of my chest in fear.
I heard the boards on the stairs creaking loudly like someone was stumbling in difficulty up them. I then heard it moaning my name, thump after thump as it made its way closer to me. I held my breath. I sat dead still on my bed attempting to be as silent as possible as I was terrified of it hearing me. I heard it mumbling as it got closer, "chi...zi...ru..." my heart stopped in my chest as I saw a bloody eye peer through the keyhole of my door staring directly into my soul. I jumped back in fright. "I...see...you..." it muttered and I gritted my teeth and clamped my first as I curled up on my bed. I stuttered in response "wh-what do you wa-want?"
I started hearing it fiddling with the door handle as it laughed menacingly, "I..we...want you..." I moved pressing myself tightly against the wall by my bed. "We?" I asked.
Again more laughter. "Come with me our little...hafu.," it responded with a demonic voice. I shook my head feeling the tears tickling the back of my eyes. "Never!" I got up from the bed and grabbed my heaviest book throwing it at the window causing it to shatter to pieces. Right before it opened the door I had taken a big leap out the window rolling down my roof landing in my backyard. I then jumped the fence and darted down the road as far as I could. After what felt like miles of running I stopped to breathe.
'What did it call me?'
'What am I?'
'Why does it want me?'
I shook my head attempting to forget it all when I felt a strike of pain in my head, worse than a headache. That's when it hit me. I forgot my medicine.
