Today was my first day of High School, as a Freshman, In Massachusetts. But I wasnt really worried at all. My boyfriend, Josh, was picking me up for school.
"Everything needs to be perfect Jules Edwin, your in high school now." I told myself repeatedly. Brooklyn Greens, my best friend, who lived two houses away from me, was at my door, she was always good with getting to places on time and I was the one who was always running late. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs.
"I'm coming!" I yelled. I opened the door and see Brook standing there with her arms crossed. My mom died When I was 8 years old, and Brook, was just like my mother, shed tell me what's good for me and what's not so good for me and I loved that, I really need a female in my life who would listen to my girl problems.
"When are you going to learn." She says to me.
"Come on! We have to go, its the first day of school and we're already 3 minutes late." She argued. Then Josh pulled up in his Jeep, with his buddy Max. Brook never actually liked Josh or Max or anyone he hung out with really, she always told me I was to good for him.
"Hey babe!" Josh yelled from the window of his car. Brook looks at me and rolls her eyes. I laugh and grab her hand.
"Come on!" And we get in the Jeep and drive to school.
"Okay good luck ill see you after school if I don't see you throughout the whole school hours" Brook says to me while we each part ways, and go to our classes.
I finally find your class. You walked in and everyone stares at you.
"Your late." The teacher says, she looked her mid 30s, with glasses, blonde, wore red lipstick and had a raspy voice.
"I'm Jules Edwin." I say. She looks at me.
"And I'm Mrs. Fisher, have a seat and right down these notes. Your already late." She says. I take a seat in an empty desk. After the long 1 hour classes lunch came, and luckily I had lunch with Brook, Josh and his friends had this lunch too. And Mandy. Mandy and I used to be close but we parted ways when Josh and I started dating. She had a huge crush on him back in the 7th grade. Me and Mandy were not the very popular kids back then, and Josh was a the sports guy. Every girl wanted with him, but he ended up asking me to the school dance. And we started dating over spring break, so not that long ago. 6 months we've been together.
"Hey Jules" Mandy comes up to me, which I was not expecting.
"Hey..Mandy.." I responded. She looked me up and down, and looks over at Josh, who was smiling like an idiot.
"Its been awhile, How you been, Jules?" Mandy said. "Um..its been okay..i guess..How you been?" Mandy flips her hair.
"Better then ever." She said while smiling at Josh. I looked at her. Brook looks at me.
"Okay. Well, Chow! Good luck in high school Jules." And she walks away, one foot in front of the other, wearing a short skirt, and her black leather boots, that went up to her knees. I turned to Josh and see him and Max both watching her walk away.
"Josh!" I yelled. He quickly turns to me.
"Are you serious!" I walked away.
"Babe!" Josh ran after me. Max and Brook were the only two at the table.
"So..." Max says. "Oh please." Brook walks away.
"Babe! I'm sorry. Okay." You stopped walking and turn to face him.
"Josh, No! Not right now!" I angrly turned away from him.
"See you after..school then?" You turned back around.
"Did you see Mandy over break at all..when I wasn't around that whole week?" Josh chuckles.
