Chapter V: Luminous Beast (Part 1)

Up above the skies of the disoriented snow covered terrain, is a wolf sitting at the edge of a mountain. Its fur was white as milk-It also had a furry tail which was as fleecy as a sheep's coat. It was sitting there, as it takes a glimpse of the men down the hazy snowfall...

The whole guild was wandering around aimlessly not knowing where they are destined to go. It was like a blind man foolishly walking down for nothing as he risks his life to find something worthwhile.

"Ahhh! We've been walking for hours! Couple of malevolents that we encountered, but what the hell are we looking for anyway?!" Gill yawned.

"Hmm... I thought Luna already explained everything to you?" Inevyr seemed to question Gill's complain. "We're looking for a spherical gem that can unlock the next door, or stage of Agartha."

"Oh right." Gill nodded.

Somehow Luna, the lead, overheard their conversation, and thus, decided that the team should take a rest.

"Alright. Looks like this is a safe area with no malevolent. You may all rest for now, I'll be right back."

Everyone was at relief when they were given the order to rest, since they've been walking forever since.

Everyone was at relief except for one.

"Wait, where are you going?" Neo asked while all the others have taken their break except for him who was still standing tall.

"It's none of your business, stay here with the others." She replied with a wry look into his eyes, as Neo felt a strange sensation of contempt coming from Luna herself. She walks through the snowy path straight ahead leaving the rest behind.

Neo sat down on the freezing white ground, and since he can't feel temperature or thermal reading in Agartha, he felt nothing cold or freezing underneath him.

Inevyr was typing something on his phone, Miji was making small mountains out of snow, and Gill was drinking an energy drink that he got from his unique black bag. The team has been slaying quite a number of malevolent lately, so it's only right for them to take a rest.

"Harsh, man. Tsk tsk." He said as he scooted beside Neo.

"She's been acting strange since yesterday." Neo explained.

"Hmmm... must be the time of the month."

As Inevyr kept tapping on his phone, his attention turned to the two and overheard that they are talking about Luna. He looked at them with disfavor.

"You guys don't know, do you?" He uttered.

Everyone looked at him including Miji who paused for a while.

"But before I tell you..." Inevyr paused. He stood up and hid his phone in his pocket. His head turned into different directions, checking if someone is watching them from behind the trees or if someone is hiding in the snow.

"Alright. No one is watching us..." He sat down and looked at everyone seriously. Most especially for Neo. "Before I tell this story I don't want any of you peasants spreading it around. As for you, Canniston."

"Me?" Neo asked, pointing at himself.

"You better not get some ideas."

"Fine."

As soon as Neo agreed he heard a chuckle from Gill which is just beside him. He looked at him menacingly.

Gill just drank his beverage carelessly.

"Okay, I'll start..." Inevyr said. Followed by a little clear of his throat.

"Winter... 14 years ago..." Inevyr said as an introduction to the backstory...
