As they stroll through her home together, Sophia and Xander are having the most perfect romantic day ever. They were both smiling at one another while clenching their hands tightly and looking at one another. They were in the midst of a passionate moment when Luke and his friends walked in on them unexpectedly.

"Wow! What a topsy-turvy situation!" Luke yelled out loud while clapping his hands.

"Luke, what do you want from us, exactly?" She gave him a hostile look.

"Sweetie! You are aware of how much affection I have for you! And I find it extremely insulting that you should end up with a loser like him!" He replied ominously.

Luke pulled Sophia away from Xander and instantly gave him a firm shove, which caused him to fall to the ground.

"Guys, you know what to do!" He yelled to his friends, giving them the signal to harm Xander. They began punching and kicking him immediately.

"Stop it! Stop it right now!" She could only yell because she was stuck and unable to move. Luke was so compelling she was powerless to pull herself away from him.

"Luke! Enough. Please." She started crying. Xander's face was bloody; even his glasses were broken, and he was unconscious.

"I will not stop letting them hit the nerd until you accept to be my girlfriend!" He warned.

"Never!" She shouted. Xander's leg was struck with a large piece of thick wood by one of the guys in response to her screaming.

"Aaaaahhhhhh!" He wailed and screamed.

"Put an end to that, Luke! Fine! I'll do it! I'll be your girlfriend," She shed a tear. Luke, signal his friend to stop and then kiss Sophia aggressively. It was the grossest kiss she had ever experienced.

"Let's go!" He said.

"How about Xander?" She asked worriedly.

"The security personnel were getting closer! They can see him. He responded by pulling her away from him.

After what happened, Xander did not show up the following day, nor did he appear on any of the subsequent days. Sophia was worried, but she didn't know how to contact him. He hasn't given her his contact number, even his address. How can he check him?

"Sophia." It was Step, her new friend. But it's surprising that she was the only person she approached in school. She is charming, well-off, and stunning all at the same time.

"Hi!" She greeted her.

"What happened? You look sad?" Step inquired with such worry in her voice.

"Nothing." Sophia gave a little shake of the head.

"Come on, tell me you can trust me." She insisted on it while holding her arm.

"It's Xander. Do you know him?" She started.

"Yes! The nerd?" Step asked.

"He's courting me for the past few months and___."

"Really? I overheard a few of the students beat him. I believe it to be Luke, your boyfriend___." The fact that Step didn't let Sophia finish talking about Luke and cut her off in the middle of her sentence irritated her.

"It's not true that he was my boyfriend! Because he won't stop hurting Xander, I had no choice but to give in and say yes. I just__" Sophia was on the verge of crying as she explained. Step reached for Sophia's hand and stroked it with sincerity,

"You are making the right choice by doing that." Sophia was taken aback and cast a glance in Step's direction, but she quickly averted her gaze.

"Is she trying to avoid making eye contact with her?" She was puzzled.

"It is for the best because otherwise, they will never stop being cruel to Xander. Ignoring him is the best course of action if you consider him important." The tone of Step's voice changed as she continued.

"What! Will they hurt Xander once more? But I don't know how to do that! How am I going to prevent that from taking place?" Sophia's fear was palpable.

"Dump him! Right in front of their eyes!" Step suggested, and she was serious about it.

"What a terrible concept, but it makes perfect sense!" She was hesitant.

"Listen to me. I am a friend of yours. Believe me, and you'll find that this is beneficial to both of you." Although Sophia was perplexed by her actions, she did have a point.

After spending a few days recovering from the injuries Luke and his friends inflicted on him at the hospital, Xander was thrilled to return to school finally. Concerning the issue, his father already communicates and coordinates with the head of the school. However, this was not the first time that something like this had occurred to Xander, and he ended up transferring to a different school. However, this time he did not want to leave the school. After spending time with someone special, Sophia, he decides that he wants to make the most of his senior year of high school. As a result, he asks his father to use his connection with the school director to expel Luke and his group from school.

Xander knew Sophia would be with the cheerleading squad at the gym that afternoon. As he approached her in the crowded gymnasium, he presented her with a bouquet of three red roses and walked toward her while the gym was packed with people, including Luke and his group.

"Sophia, please be my girlfriend?" Xander got down on one knee and asked. Yes, they have already kissed each other and its obvious that she will agree but he wanted to be official so that everyone would know.

Xander's proposal made Sophia's heart flutter, and she desperately wanted to accept it. This proposal is the cutest one their school has ever seen. However, something was menacing in the way Luke looked at her.

That she all of a sudden,

"I'm sorry, but I just can't see myself dating someone who looks as nerdy as you." She hardly ever speaks, and at one point, she even considered crying.

"What?!" Xander was taken aback, and before he knew it, everyone, especially Luke, was laughing at him.

"Boo!!!" Everyone started screaming and throwing garbage at him.

The thought of crying, then running to Xander and hugging him, made Sophia want to sob. It breaks her heart to see him treated in such an offensive manner by everyone. Because she had just broken up with the guy she loved, her heart was aching so badly.

Xander quickly exited the facility and met his father at the director's office.

"I'll drop Dad." He said.

"Son, what exactly do you mean by that?" It came as a surprise to his father since the conversation had already been completed. The director has already requested her secretary put in a report regarding the incident's preventative measures.

"I do not wish to remain in this school any longer!" Xander insists.

"Whatever it is that you desire, Alexander." His father heaved a sigh before turning back to the director.

Xander meets his friend Meagan first in the mathematics faculty room before leaving. He wanted to say goodbye to a very good friend.

"Seriously? Why are you transferring all of a sudden? How about the competition." Meagan asked worriedly.

"I truly apologize." He almost shed a tear.

"But Xander, what exactly is the matter?" She inquired about it.

"I am grateful to have such a wonderful friend like you, Meg. The time that I got to spend with you was delightful." He smiles as they make their way through the corridor. Since Sophia was the one who followed Xander, she obviously saw him with Meagan. She flaunted a lot of jealousy. She felt a strong urge to flee and yank him away from her.

Sophia felt an overwhelming sense of guilt in the days that followed. She desired to provide an explanation to Xander, but she hadn't seen him. She has just learned that he has quit the class. And the last time she saw him, he walked away with Meagan, and it tore her heart out to see them together.

End of Flashback.
