Lukes POV

After I finished my meal (alone) I paid the overly cheerful man at the counter and made my way outside. Tallulah, Tammy, Tara or whatever her name is left me for another guy. I looked around for Ashton's 1985 Chevy, but it was nowhere. I sighed, slamming my fist into the bonnet of my car in frustration. I wonder if he was stupid enough to take her back to the house. I smiled to myself at the thought of interrupting their 'special' night. I hopped into my car, a plan already forming in my head.

Chelsea's POV

After walking out the door Ashton said he needed to make a phone call. I wondered over to his car, wanting to get out of the cold. I grabbed the handle and tried to open the door. it was locked. I thought about going back into the restaurant, but Ashton might get worried. I looked for Ashton and saw he was still on the phone. Curiosity got the better of me, and I snuck up on him to listen to his conversation.

"Yeah mate, how many times do we have to go over this? Fresh red roses and vanilla scented candles. Yeah, she likes vanilla. No, no food we just ate. And make sure the ring is polished. Ok mate see you soon."

What? Ring?!? There was no doubt he was talking about us. Oh my god. Was he going to propose to me? Ashton was off the phone by this point, so I quietly backed away. When I was a safe distance I ran to the car and tried (and failed) to look normal.

"Hey," Ash said. I just stared at him. How could he be so casual? He's going to propose for me!! I realised I hadn't replied yet so I said the first thing that came to mind.

"Who were you talking to?"

"Oh. Um." I had obviously surprised him.

"I was just telling Calum about the ruby game tonight at Patterson Stadium."

I nodded. It made sense for him to call Calum, as Calum was trying to start over with me. We got into the car and drive home. On the way I got my phone out and texted someone I thought I never would.
