A new day.
It has begun to rain slightly.
But they haven't left.
They're under such a big tree,
that not a single raindrop can make
it's way to them.
— and not a single person, either —

Makoto's melodies flood Kyoko's mind.
She feels like she's on the clouds.

"You're only passing by, you told me that time."

The one with lavender eyes mutters a 'yes'.

"What do you mean by that?"

"That today I'm here, and tomorrow maybe not."

Silence.

What Kyoko does next leaves the one with forest eyes speechless.

She has  pulled out a flower.
And it slowly
starts dying.
Both look at it do so,
hypnotized.

"I'm like this flower.
From one moment to another,
I won't be here anymore."

Makoto looks at her,
a mix of confusion and fear
can be read on his face.
And he says;
"I'm also like that flower.
Because I
can't live if
I'm not where
I belong."

The one with lavender eyes shakes her head.
"You don't see the flowers the way I do."

It's late.
It has stopped raining.
The lavender-haired girl stands up.
But a lower voice,
sounding as soft as always,
stops her.
"Stay."

And even if she doesn't know it,
that word drags more
words behind it.
Stay.
Stay with me, always.
With me, here.

But the boy is surprised
when she
d o e s  n o t  s t a y
but she
s i g h s
and looks at him,
making a gesture
with her hand
— that Makoto can't quite understand —
and
l e a v e s
towards her house.
So he, too,
absentmindedly,
sighs,
lifts his beloved guitar
and goes back
to his lonely house.
