>Jordan's POV<

Jordan woke up to the sounds of talking, glass crunching under heavy shoes and the feeling of something cold and wet on her forehead.

She slowly opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was the wrecked shop that she had fainted in.

Startled, she jumped and tried to push herself further against the wall. She started hyperventilating as her eyes searched crazily around the place.

A woman in front of her held onto her shoulders and tried to calm her down "Hey, hey, hey, It's okay. You're safe."

Jordan blinked a few times and nodded, she got up carefully with the woman's help and held her head "Th- The man... Where-"

"He's gone." The woman interrupted "If you can walk, you can come over to the ambulance and I can finish your checkups."

She nodded and slowly followed the woman to the ambulance where she sat down and had a brief injury scan.

"Well.. Nothing brutal, just a few cuts from the glass but you'll live," The paramedic smiled "However I did notice a few old scars around your body, mind explaining those?"

Jordan bit her lip and sighed "My mum had a boyfriend a while back and he didn't exactly like me, he left her though."

"So what is your name? Before I continue onwards." The paramedic asked calmly.

"Jordan, Jordan Henderson."

The woman nodded "Alright, Jordan, do you have anyone to go to? Can you call them?" She paused for a second before pulling out ber phone, maybe she could fake calling someone?

Then she thought about Rupert, if his phone wasn't dead then he'd surely answer a phone call.

She dialed his number and held it to her ear, it rung for a few minutes before someone picked up.

"Hello?"

Jordan exhaled nervously "Hey dad, I'm near your house. Are you there?" She asked, hoping Rupert would catch on.

There was a faint chuckle on the other side of the phone before he answered "Yeah, just waiting for you."

"May I talk to him?" The paramedic asked and raised an eyebrow curiously.

Jordan handed the phone to her and waited patiently, hoping that Rupert would say the right things.

"Hello, Is this Jordan's father? I'd like to know whether she's going into safe hands before I let her go." The woman said and waited.

Rupert paused as he thought about what to say "Don't worry, I'll meet her as soon as she comes home. I shouldn't of let her go alone."

"Alright, your daughter is fine with a few cuts and bruises but I'll let her go." She smiled and handed the phone back to her.

Jordan took the phone back and nodded "I'll be right there," she then lowered her voice to a whisper "Don't hang up."

Then she turned to the paramedic and smiled "Thank you." Honestly she was more thankful for being let go so easily. She stood up and started walking away from the ambulance.

Once she turned the corner she leant against he wall and put the phone back against her ear "Rupert? Are you okay? Where are you?"

Rupert sniggered "I'm fine, chill out-"

"Chill out? Chill out?! Don't you dare tell me to chill out Rupert! I'm scared, alone and you just sent me off without any explanation only to see my goddamn mother die!" Jordan shouted, her voice cracking with emotion.
