"Oh my God!"

Sethbling crouches a bit as he saw Herobrine appeared from the woods, walking towards the totem he had made. The Mario-skinned player cleared his throat and whispered towards an unseen screen.

"Guys, at last, the Herobrine we were waiting for has arrived. After waiting for about 9 days, we did it!" Once or twice, the player looked back at the totem, where Herobrine is standing nearby, and he turned back to the screen. "He seemed like he does not see me just yet, somehow. He was just waiting near the totem. I wonder what made him stay idle like that. W-Well perhaps he has not seen me just yet, like most of normal mobs from afar."

"He has a uh... Iron sword with- Iron sword? I thought this mod said he will be using a diamond sword... Very strange. Maybe a stupid bug. So are we going to go close to him or- huh?"

Behind the player, another figure seemed to walk around randomly. Another Herobrine figure, with the aforementioned diamond sword, came into view as this one blankly walks around, aimlessly. Upon seeing the newcomer, the Herobrine standing near the totem launched his sword at the other, and it died and poofed away upon a single swing, leaving the player stare, mouth ajar.

"Um.. That is very creepy." He commented. "Maybe this mod really is glitching, I may have to re-insta-"

The player halted as the chat box popped out from under the screen. To his horror, the words appear on his screen.

[Herobrine]: It is not a glitch. And the person making this mod ought to make that Herobrine stronger.

[Herobrine]: That pathetic, empty vessel is nothing like me.

When the player looked up, a sword rammed through the line of his vision, and the usual screen of 'You died!' appeared after the blow. Herobrine bent down to pull his sword out, and he sighed. There are stuff lying around, and he does not even care to burn all of them. Let the player come and collect back what he has. With an unsatisfied growl, he left.

"What the f- Wha-" He could hear the player Sethbling said as the avatar poofed away. "What kind of feature is that?! What is going on?!"

He left before Sethbling can even respawn.

He did not kill Steve.

No, he never did intend to kill him.

Yes, he hated him on first sight. Yes, he is an imbecile; a stupid, good-for-nothing mortal that will eventually stand in his way, and is a liability for him more than a person what will become his so-called friend.

But there he was, sitting alone in his throne room, having no mood to go and answer the summons of even more appearing totems out there, much to his dismay.

No, he felt no remorse. None at all. He just sat there in silence and stare blankly at the red carpet in front of him, tapping his fingers on the armrest and think. That is what he wished to believe because as much as he wanted to blame others, he can't. All these times, everything he slayed will eventually spawn back, thanks to Notch and his godly 'programming', because that's what his brother tend to say when he called him.

But Notch never said if this 'unplayable Steve' can actually respawn. One, because playable 'Steves' are actually created to be able to respawn, because it was controlled by someone else, and if one of those hollow vessels that the player will use as an Avatar cannot spawn, then what are the use of playing a game where someone slay you and you can never play again?
