out on one of my missions I went to a pub just south of magnolia on my way back to the guild, surprisingly I run into Laxus at the bar slightly intoxicated he beacons me to sit down next to him still keeping his cool. we weren't ever really close but as teenagers we use to take job requests together all the time, we were always partners and spent every day together before one day he couldn't control his magic and accidentally hurt me. sense then we haven't spoke and he never apologized, but he's got older it's like he's a totally different person, and so am I.

sitting down next to the bigger man I put my hands on my lap as he puts an arm around me getting closer to my face making me blush slightly, "hey y/n it's been awhile sense we've had a little chat you and me". his breath smells like beet and his eyes looked as if he was exhausted from the last mission.

me being the quiet girl I am I put my hands up in front of me as if he was a police officer, "o-oh I guess you c-c-caught me heheh, I've been r-really caught up into my work l-lately and I never r-really got time to relax heh". I just stuttered like a million times stupid stupid stupid.

Laxus chuckles taking my chin in his hand as he brings my face up looking up towards the taller man, "don't be all shy sweetie cmon, we both know your a bad little girl don't we? I heard some things along the road and apparently some fairy knocked down an entire guild hall, and this fairy seemed to be a little sweetheart with a lot of talent hidden behind a cute face. I must say i'm pretty impressed, i must say fairy tail really has some of the strongest and smokin hot girls huh?".

He seemed pretty drunk i've never heard him say I was talented before, usually it's always 'Anyone can do that' or 'I do that before I eat breakfast'. Barely he ever compliments my work but I couldn't help but ponder about it, "It was in the job request so it must be done, it was only a dark guild so I don't see the big deal L-Laxus" it's been a while sense i've said that name.

Laxus with his hands around me he removes all contact from me and begins drinking again, leaning back into his seat he chugs a tanker full of beer and slams it on the table letting the condensation flick everywhere. "your right there, but I never expected you to be the one to take that job. I thought you hated fighting alone let alone fighting a whole guild on your own." gesturing a waitress for a refill on his tanker he also orders me a small glass of red wine.

grabbing his hair I pull his ear closer to my lips "if this is about you ditching me I don't need to hear it, a guy like you should understand that no matter how strong a wizard is without putting there heart into the magic there completely useless." almost growling at him I give him the dirtiest look as if to say 'i'll kill you if you don't shut up'.

Laxus looks a bit surprised for a second then laughs, "you never talked to me like that in a while, thanks for giving me something to think about tonight y/n" he begins drinking his tanker completely ignoring what I said.

"your hopeless Laxus, that's gonna bite you in the ass one day I hope you know that." I twirl my wine around before pressing the glass to my lips and taking a sip.

Laxus stands up handing the waiter some jewels before laying a hand in my head messing  up my hair, "don't worry about me sweetheart i'm a lot stronger then you think y/n a lot stronger then I was then".

finishing off my wine I stand up too grabbing onto his coat before he walked away, "Laxus wait." why did I say that? I don't even have anything left to say to that jerk. I'm so stupid stupid.

Laxus stares at me for a minute before laughing "oh let me guess you want me to walk you back to the guild for old times sake?" he waits for me by the exit of the pub.

a bit shy and embarrassed I nod rushing out of the bar as he walks next to me placing a hand around my waist before letting go once again, we chatted the whole way to magnolia walking through the streets and talking just like we use to when we were younger.
