The amount of work I got was endless so I decided to bring my work to the cafe. The sweet aroma of the coffee filled the cafe along with peace and quiet. Yet again, instead of being focused on my work, I procrastinated by staring out the cafe window.
I watched a young man around 24 to 25 years, dressed in a dark blue suit as he ran by in the rain, he used his shoulder bag to cover himself. I did not see how that would've protected him from the rain nor could have protected his belongings inside his bag. I continued and watched him, drenched from the rain as he entered the cafe. I watched while a staff greeted the man and how he forced a smile as he asked to borrow a towel. He thanked the staff and told him, "I had a job interview today but I forgot to pack an umbrella. What luck!"
As I drank my coffee and I smiled, the weather so unprepared like life and fate. It is about whether we take precautions or not and try to prepare for the worst. Though I could not laugh at him because I too forgot my umbrella that day. I only laughed at myself and my own carelessness.Violet
