THE WEATHER WAS HUMID, it had been raining all night. Though, now the sun was shining on them them to the grass field and it was getting warm. Amia could make out two Quidditch pitches in the distance on the field through the fog. Their tent area was left behind them.
Amia looked around herself. Most of the campers were rubbing the sleepiness off their eyes, standing groggily or yawning. Amia figured most were suffering from the time difference.
There were five other girls along with Amia and the rest fourteen of the campers were boys. The Canadian girl had been placed into a shared tent with another girl. Lakresha Campbell, who was Keeper from Jamaica.
Amia had woken up at seven in the morning as abruptly and completely as though someone had yelled in her ear. Since it was an hour before Amia was supposed to wake up, she had gone for a jog. The grounds where they were staying were very pleasant for jogging. They were surrounded by green.
Some of the trainers and the camp director were standing before them.
"There's twenty of you." the man who had introduced himself as Ludo Bagman, the director of the camp, told them. Apparently, he was the Head of the Department of the Magical Games And Sports at British Ministry of Magic. The man was very excited, energetic and joyful for someone being awake at eight o'clock in the morning. "You'll be sorted into two teams, Red and Blue. In those teams you're sorted into groups according to your position as players. Two trainers will work with one group of four to six campers. "
The man paused for a while and let his blue eyes travel through the crowd of campers, before he continued,
"During these two and a half weeks, you'll train with professionals to become even better and you will also be attending professional Quidditch matches as guests. There you'll have a possible chance to meet managers, players or coaches - get the idea of the industry or even make some relations. I can say that if you're thinking about a career as a professional Quidditch player, this camp is the best place for that."
