The beginning of Senior year marked the day on the calendar sitting on the wall, and the alarm blaring throughout the blonde's room let her know loud and clear to wake the hell up and get ready for an intense day.
Maya groans in annoyance as she makes her way away from the comforts of her warm and comfortable bed to her closet. The blonde rolls her eyes at the minimal amounts of clothes that hung in her closet and the loads that lied in the dark hamper across her room. She pulls out the pieces that seem to be enough for the first day of senior year and throws them on her bed.
She gets the shower running and steps in, her body accepting the warm water that hit her bare skin as she silently showers. Maya's days seemed to always be quiet, it was also mostly her seeming to be stuck in a years worth trance, she hadn't shed a tear since everything happened.
The blonde wraps herself in a gray towel and slips on her clean pair of underwear, she cautiously combs her eyelash extensions and runs clear gel through her thick eyebrow hair. She uses the towel to dry the rest of her body and slips on the black low scooped long sleeve over her head and using the same towel for her hair.
Mornings like these were definitely not missed over the summer by her, but fall and winter were coming meaning it was the best weather to feel blue and it was acceptable to be 'depressed' and what not so she didn't mind having to push through some lame and unneeded courses.

Her small pale hands were pocketed in the fronts of her jeans as she made her way through the school halls, trying to locate her new locker, coming in contact with someone she once knew.
"Maya, hey," she hears them greet as they close the locker that was right next to hers.
Maya slowly but surely distanced herself from the group, unfortunately right after their visit to the ski lodge- it was only unfortunate because the gang thought she distanced herself because of that which wasn't entirely the case and was surprised when this specific person had talked to her after two years.
Her blue eyes come in contact with his emerald ones for the first time in forever, but she couldn't even manage to force a smile.
"What's up?" She responds as she opens her locker and stores the unneeded materials.
A soft huff escapes his lips, "nothing, can't I just want to talk to you?" He questions, his tone showcasing more of a playfulness than rudeness.
"Y- Right, how've you been?" She questions when looking away. Maya deciding on biting her tongue about many things she wanted to say to him, because she wasn't in the mood.
He grabs her moving arms and forces her to look at him, "Lu-,"
"Would you stop for just a fucking second?" Lucas questions, Maya wasn't the most jubilant when he decided on that move. It made her tense.
Maya knew it wasn't his fault they stopped talking, but he still felt like some sort of stranger. "What do you want?" She questions, by now it was obvious to him that she wasn't interested in speaking to him, but that didn't matter because he let it matter for too long to the point where they completely lost touch and he wanted to make it right again.
"Maya, I want you to talk to me again," he informs and manages to catch her eyes with his.
Maya was able to notice that there was something off and bothering him even though it had been so long since she made contact with his forest like eyes.
A sigh in defeat escapes her plump lips as she closes her locker, continuing the eye contact doing so, "fine," she was well aware that the antisocial behavior had taken over her and was unhealthy. How could this simple thing go south? She rhetorically questions herself in her head.
A smile tugged at the ends of his lips as he proceeded to snatch the folded white paper that was being held by her little pale fingers, "looks like the universe intended on this," he teases when showing her a white paper of his own with the same courses in the same order and class number written on it.
Maya keeps a straight face and snatched her paper back, talk about taking a friendship slow- that was going to be impossible seeing as she had to spend half her day with him.
They sit in their assigned seats which were exactly next to each other due to F and H being so close to the alphabet and not one freaking kid with a last name starting with G attended that class, "so, what have you been doing all this time?" He wonders.
Maya mentally groans, wishing they'd move on from the 'meet your partner' activity that most first days consist of, "not much. What about you?" She responds and finally looks at him once again. She hated that she was curious about what happened with the rest of the gang but decided it wasn't the best topic to start her morning with.
"I've been replaying all the events in my head, wondering how we all ended up like this," he straightforwardly answers her.
Maya's eyebrows scrunch up and looks away, another sigh running out of her mouth, "and what was the verdict?" She softly questions.
"I haven't gotten that far."
