You tell me that I'm beautiful. That I am delicate but can also be strong.

But, what about you?

What about every single word that has ever come out of your mouth when hugging me? What about the gentle touch of your hand every time you stroke my hair? What about the tears that you shred with a smile on your face whenever you feel proud of me, although I don't think you always should?

The rest of your tears, you hide them from me. I don't know much about your past. Only what has been whispered with a glass of wine on your hand and tension written all over your face.

It's unbelievable how you've been through so much and yet your face is glowing every time I see you.

So the next time you call me beautiful, just remember that I would never be anything close to that without having you here from day one.

You keep growing as a person every single day. I can see it. I hope you can see it too.

(I'm sorry)
