LITTLE BLACK RIDING HOOD

Prologue

The withered forest was always a dreary place.trees were twisted and naked without any leaves. Flowers had no vibrancy and the only flowers that grew were either poisonous, dark, or coated with thorns. the kingdom of Engaloo was very dark and un-prosperous. The air was cold. The atmosphere was cold. No warmth was ever obtained in this land. The only hope of prosperity was lying on a young woman's shoulders. This woman was Laverna Witherwood. She was a human version of this dark and dismal place. However her heart obtained the only glimpse of light that there was in this kingdom. She had raven hair which fell  well past her shoulders which she kept in a bun wrapped in a golden hair net. She had the most beguiling and beautiful  gleaming violet eyes that matched the misty and mysterious sky of Engaloo. She wore leather with purple suede boots. She had a handkerchief around her neck which she pulled over her nose and mouth when she ran through the ocean of mist and thorns. She also had purple suede gloves to match her elegant boots. the most recognisable feature of her attire was a black hood made of black spider spun webs. This reached her back and was trimmed with grey wolf fur. This was why she was named little black riding hood.

----    Chapter one, early years of the little black riding hood.----

Laverna was born into a royal family. Her mother was a pauper girl and her father was the king of Engaloo. They met when lavernas beautiful young mother was called upon to make the kings mother a lavish new wardrobe.  Enchanted by her beauty and personality, the king instantly fell in love with her. They had secret meetings by the pauper girls cottage balcony every midnight. When the mother of the king found out, she was furious and disowned her son immediately . They married and ruled the kingdom with gentleness and kindness. Things were different back then. The landscape was beautiful. Full of vegetation and lovely wildlife, Engaloo was the place to live. However, all was not well in this land. A dark force started to rage through the kingdom. The king tried to fight this force but it was no good. The kings evil sister had spread her influence and dark magic even more and the king and his family .kwere forced to flee. However they vowed to take the kingdom back and to restore its vibrancy. Laverna was the couples pride and joy. The king, now a merchant taught her skills that every ruler should learn just in case the kingdom fell back into their innocent hands. She learned the ancient skills of combat and learned how to run through the mist of the withered forest while surviving. Laverna's little home was small and pretty hidden within the branches of a willow tree . Her cottage was very simple. It was most different from her old home at the imperial palace. Her mother was now a widow, her father was trying to find some fruit to pick and was taken by the new evil queens men and sadly executed by her orders. When the queen found out that his family were in Engaloo,  Laverna and her mother had to be carefull. Very carefull indeed. The queen wanted to make sure that her brothers family were eliminated  to make sure her grip on the crown was secure. From now on, the mother and daughter had to stay safe, and hidden. Laverna then had an idea. She would save herself, her mother and the kingdom. How she would do it, she did not know. But with her intellect and combat skills, she could just   achieve her goal. But she would have to do it quick. The queen was becoming inpatient.

----chapter 2, the making of little black riding hood----

Laverna had very distinctive features which many people recognised, so she had to hide her identity. She spent ages trying to find appropriate clothing which would accommodate her needs. She found an old discarded leather lounging chair sitting by a pathway. Without anyone spotting her, she dragged the chair home, much to her mothers curiosity. She then pulled out a pair of long, silver scissors and started to carefully cut the leather and unpick the chairs stitches with great care and sowed them up to reveal a leather suit. She then went through her fathers large oak chest and pulled out her fathers. Golden rapier and handkerchief. She found a belt and carefully made a holder for her beloved fathers sword. With her fathers purple silk handkerchief and sowed the initials " L.W" with golden thread. Not only she sowed these initials to match her name, but her fathers name, too. His name was Leonardo Witherwood whom she vowed to keep his legacy alive. She had found some suede leather and dyed them in cyan dye, revealing a purple colour. She then sowed these onto her favourite shoes to make purple boots. Laverna had inherited her mothers nimble and gentle hands and gathered up some spiders and left them in her room and after they had spun nine large webs, Laverna released the spiders and spun the webs into delicate silk. She then retrieved her finest coat lined with grey wolf fur and trimmed a little of the fur off the coat so she could still wear her coat when she wanted to. She finally then delicately sowed the small amount of wolf fur onto her unusual black spider web hood. She then tried out her outfit on her soroundings. The suit protected her body, but not her hands. This led to her hands being torn by the thorns and scarlet red blood to drip on the dirt of the ruined landscape. To eliminate this problem, she used the left over suede from her purple boots to make long, elegant gloves. All she needed to do now was to rewrite her destiny, and the kingdoms destiny, too.
