Chapter 7

~Nicole's Pov~

        It had been 45 minutes since Rin and Austin had left. I was starting to get worried as i finished putting away the dishes i had just washed away.

        "Hey Oli?" I said just above a whisper as he finished helping me. He looked at me as I felt something come over me and tears started welling up in my eyes. I knew he heard my breath catch.

        "Nikki,-" That's when there were silent waterfalls streaming down my face. I didn't even move and I let out a shaky breath.

        "Oh Nikki, shh, it's okay" He said instantly wrapping his arms around me.

        "W-what if s-something's w-wrong?" I said trying to breath "I f-feel like something h-happened."..It was like I could sense it.

        "No, Nikki, I'm sure everythings okay," He said rubbing little circles into the small of my back.

        I looked up at him through my hair "Are you sure?" I said my voice returning back to normal.

        "No, but I think they're good now." He said giving a small smile, I smiled back. "Thank you Oli," I felt a lot better, "I don't know what came over me." I said hugging him tighter.

        "You're just worried and you care, it's okay." He said finally as I let go. He looked down at me and took my hands, I fluttered my eyes closed as he closed the gap between us. I brought my arms around his neck as he asked for entrance and I obliged, our lips moving in sync. He lifted me up onto the counter and I giggled as he continued to kiss me all over my face, leaving the last one to peck me on my lips.

        "I love you Nicole." He said tucking my bangs behind my ear. "I love me too." I said breaking into a fit of giggles as he started fake pouting.

        "Awe, Oliver, I love you too." I said as he pouted less slightly. I sighed. "I guess someone doesn't want a kiss." I said tutting. He stopped pouting instantly. "That's better." I said leaning down, just as I was about to feel his lips on mine, I heard something, just enough to make me stop. It sounded like it came from the bathroom upstairs.I instantly felt the hair on my neck stand on end.

        "Wait, Oliver..." I said just below a whisper, he was looking up too as I looked at him he looked the same as I did. That's when i heard footsteps on tile as we were silent. I looked at him and he understood. I slowly got off the counter and got one of the frying pans out of the cupboard silently and i turned to see Oliver already climbing up the stairs, my eyes widened as I saw a shadow above. He turned ever so slightly and gestured he was going to scope out the left side and i'd go right. I saw him making his way up as I went behind him and to the other side, sliding into a shadow.

        I was sliding along and thats when i heard Oliver grunt in pain. I turned quickly to see some guy ramming his knee into Oliver's side again. That's when i saw something shining in his right hand, shit, it's a gun. I had to think quickly, I slid up behind the man and used most of my strength and rammed the frying pan into his hand, causing the gun to drop out of it. He screamed out in pain, "Fuck! Ow! Ow! You little shit!" He said as he went to pin me to the wall, as he tried to I kneed him in the crotch causing him to collapse in pain, I looked over to Oli and saw him getting up, my adreniline was really high now.

        Suddenly I heard the click of a gun being pulled back, I looked over quickly to see the stranger, gun in hand, aiming at Oli."
