The Pentanime was formed in the Cinos Aftermath series by the combination Knuckles, Eggman, and Cinos.
The original member are composed of Natsu Dragneel, Ruby Rose, Katie "Pidge" Holt, Ash Ketchum, and Max Taylor who are considered one of Cinos' closest friends over a year ago.
The name of the team is pronounce pen-tə-mā according to Cinos, Eggman, & Knuckles which I made by the combination of the penta- which mean five in Greek referring the number in the team and anime which reference to these characters are from an anime.
However despite the name, some of the additional member make it no longer make five and some are not from anime but the name have kept which Cinos think it awesome.
This team is similar to the Constructicons from G1 as they changed leaders, both Pidge and Ruby cooperate as the leader but Natsu try to prove he's a better leader due to his being older, have more power and combat skills, and had better experience.
Enough Cinos is the technical leader of the group but he serves more of a patriarch to his friend, his role is sorta similar to his friend Po and the Furious Five.
