Dear Mr. Soft Genuine,

You weren't a gentleman, but you became one of my closest friends. A dude who was the sweetest male I thought I'd ever meet and who I thought looked at me like no other. I would catch you staring at me in class and shake it off with a small smile as feelings began to overflow like water out of a cup. Yes, I was definitely one of the most unequipped people for a relationship since I knew nothing about the said thing, but I took a nosedive into unknowingness when I asked you out.

Turns out my feelings had been misplaced the whole time because you calmly proved your looks at me wrong. Despite your sweetness and my attempt to prepare for rejection, I became blue and you were gone for a couple weeks while I had to swim back up to the surface of reality.
