Blind Date

Part 2

The day before the date Steve and Bucky were in the ring training when Bucky said "So do you know this girl I'm suppose to meet tomorrow?"

"Yeah I do..she's beautiful Buck and sweet but tough and she loves to cook. I think you two could really hit it off." Steve said as he blocked a punch. 

"Do you think that she can handle all this?" He said as he did a roundhouse kick 

"I think so. Nat said that her dad and brother both were in the military and her brother is a police officer now and her dad is a retired fire chief she's grown up around danger." Steve said 

"Wow...are you going to get in trouble for telling me all this?' Bucky said as he took sip of water.

"No she said to give you some info on her so you had something to talk about. Also she told me to tell you that her name is Ellie Cooper." Steve said as he wiped sweat.

Meanwhile Ellie was finishing up a photo shoot when Nat came in and said "Hey..are you excited about tomorrow night?"

"I think so..can you tell anything about him so I have something to talk about." she said 

Nat smiled and said "Well he's a military vet and a boxer and he loves to eat and ride his bike. I think once you two get to know each other you two will be great together. But Ellie I said he's a boxer that's his job not who he is as a person."

"Ok..I can handle that if I can handle my brother being in the military and being a police officer surely I can handle a boxer. Does this person have a name Natasha?" she said 

"Yes but don't you dare google him.." Nat said 

"Ok ok." she said 

"His name is Bucky Barnes or well his real name is James Buchanan Barnes but we have always called him Bucky cause he prefers that." Nat said 

"Ok." she said 

They both went back to work as they both had photo sessions to do. After work Ellie went to the tanning bed and then went and got her nails done and picked up some Mexican food on her way home. She ate her food and washed it down with a beer as she watched tv. Bucky was across town eating dinner with Steve and Nat and he said "Nat I hope this girl is drop dead gorgeous for you to not let me what she looks like." 

"That's the point of a blind date Bucky." Nat said 

He started laughing and said "Well I don't like it." 

She just rolled her eyes and said "You will like her I promise." 

"So am I suppose to pick her up or wait to see if she shows at the restaurant?' Bucky said 

Nat bit her lip and pulled out her phone and texted Ellie "Would you rather him pick you up or meet there?'

"Um I guess he can pick me up..I hate the blind dates that make you think they aren't coming." Ellie said 

"Pick her up Bucky..she's been down this road before she said that she hates when they make you wait at the restaurant and makes you think they aren't coming." Nat said 

"Ok...I'll need her address." Bucky said 

Nat texted him her address as he chugged the last bit of his beer. "Buck Sam is going to kill you cause you aren't following your diet." Steve said

"I don't really care Steve..I'll get back on it this weekend." Bucky said as he slammed the beer bottle down. 

"What's  bothering you Bucky?' Steve said
