As I put my keys in my bag I sauntered off my porch steps and looked out at my

neighbors houses. As I was scanning around on my left one of my neighbors cars

seemed to be there, so I went to ask where the nearest café is. Hesitantly I walked over

along the grass by the sidewalk, and at the same time water spraying from the sprinkler

hit me from all directions.

"Oh! Well..."

I wiped the water off my face and looked up to see a guy who was staring directly at me.

His eyes were an bright blue, which matched his black semi-cut hair, along with his jaw

that framed his face perfectly. As I looked down I was confronted by a gorgeous

toned stomach.

"Um excuse you?" He stated plainly. I realized I was staring and looked up.

"Did you need something?" He stated with slight annoyance.

"Oh uhh, sorry, I just sorta moved here today and wanted to ask for directions to a café.

My name is Ellie Vexis." I rambled as I stuck out my hand awkwardly.

He stared at my brown hair, which was quite long, and my silver colored eyes.

"Well I need you to go mind your own business somewhere else, and get out of my

driveway because I need to wash my car." He threw a towel I didn't even realize he was

holding, and it landed on the top of my head. I put my hand down.

"Hey!" I pulled the towel off my now disheveled hair and a blush rose to my cheeks.

"What was that for Jerk!"

He laughed, it sounded hollow and empty, and I smoothed down my hair.

"Forget I asked then, bye." I threw the towel back and walked off his driveway.

"Hey!"

I kept walking away ignoring him, and as I did so, I heard a huge sigh.

"You take our street and turn left, then cut through the park on the right. On the other

side there should be an area of shops after you cross the main road."

"Thanks." I replied, thinking that my hot neighbor was a total jerk.

"Your Welcome and be careful, Ells"

As soon as he said that I stopped in my tracks and turned around. My dad used to call

me that, so that nickname meant a lot.

"Don't ever call me that."

"Well, it's better than Jerk."

"Fine, what's your name then,"

"None of your business, Ells."

"Well, I prefer the name Exie."

"Whatever."

My face was flustered and red, and I was happy to be walking away from "him".
