credits to myself hehehe
———Cheryl took one last glance at the now half empty apartment that she'd already grown to love. She gripped the handles of her luggages, sighing before stepping out and locking the door.
He kissed her again. It's been four weeks since the first time she'd caught him, who knows when the actual first time had been. The bubbly blonde let out a cute giggle, causing the ravenette to smile as well. They were obviously so in love.
She walked downstairs and left the lobby, finding the elavator too slow. She boarded her Uber before taking a final look at the condominium complex. It was her dream place, so far and different from her old neighborhood.
"When will Cheryl be home?" The blonde interrupted their heated making out session. "Mhm. In a day.." The other replied, continuing to shower her in kisses, full of passion and lust, something that always lacked when he was with her.
Not knowing that his dearly beloved was watching from the corner of their own shared bedroom, hidden by the covers, in hopes of surprising him with her early arrival. So she just watched as her love danced under the covers with her enemy.
Enough had been enough, and she'd made her decision. She wasn't going to stay, why would she? What did she have to lose? She already accepted that the love of her life was gone forever, and even if he did return, it would never be the same.
Crying solved nothing, so she tried her hardest to stop. He didn't deserve her tears, no, he didn't deserve any of her at all. Why would he do it? That was her only question. Why would he do such an awful thing if he loved someone else?
He held her hand and slipped on a ring, not bothering to ask the question. He denied her of it, of the choice. Now she couldn't decline, not anymore, what a horrible person she'd be if she slipped it back off and left without a word.
Now after everything that had happened, she'd wished she did. He didn't deserve happiness, not from her at least. He already had two people who loved him so much and who brought him great joy, while she had no one.
He lied. He lied, she said, she told herself whenever the horrendous thought of forgiveness entered her mind. He lied, and she shouldn't forgive him. He doesn't deserve it. He's so stupid, she's so stupid.
She was oh, so stupid.
She walked down the aisle bursting with joy, staring at the cause who stood at the end. She glanced at her bridesmaids, in their pretty pink dresses, she'd spent so much on coordinating.
Her maid of honor stood with pride, the famous Betty Cooper, known for her sweetness and reliability. A perfect choice. She'd been so helpful, always making certain that the flowers were perfect, and the seating chart was organized.
She was so perfect herself, Cheryl loved her cousin so much and trusted her with her life. If anything were to go wrong, she had made a deal with her that they'd escape the wedding together, going on the honeymoon as brides.
Oh, so stupid.
Had she known that her groom had his fingers laced with her best friend when they were taking the wedding pictures, perhaps things would be less of a mess in the present moment.
She boarded the plane but her husband never got on, and so off she flew to Paris for three weeks while the two of her closest people consummated her marriage for her, and all throughout the period she was gone.
And when she came back, longing for his touch, she found them. Fuck them.
She no longer cared about his reaction to her disappearance. She had been oh so stupid for far too long, and now she was finished. Letting out one last sigh, she turned her head and closed her eyes, never once looking back.
