"Are you screwing with me?"

It was a quiet Saturday evening. The two girls were at the Cho residence discussing Marina's big plan. However, it seemed Curie was not fully on board.

"No, I'm not screwing with you. I'm being serious," said the blonde.

Curie shook her head. "You can't be. What makes you think that we can find out Spider-Man's secret identity? Why would you even want to?"

"Uh hello? Why wouldn't I want to? I thought you'd like this idea," said Marina.

"Is this like some type of fantasy kink? Do you have a thing for the webs?" her friend asked.

Marina cringed. "Ew! No. I just want to know who this guy is, okay?"

She didn't understand what was so wrong about unmasking the webslinger. After all, none of the Avengers kept their identity hidden. And Marina didn't plan on telling anyone who the acclaimed hero really was. What was wrong with being curious?

The brunette sighed. "What, so Spider-Man knocks on your windowsill and suddenly you want to know who he is? C'mon Rina. Is that really what's happening?"

"Look, I've spent so long couped up in a tow- uh, my house and it's sickening. I finally get out only to realize how lame high school is. Don't you want to do more than just school work everyday? I'm not saying we have to do this, I just think it would be fun," said Marina.

A beat passed. "Ugh fine. Y'know you can be so annoying right?"

The blonde smirked. "It's my award winning quality."

Suddenly, the door swung open to reveal a short, dark-haired boy. "So, I hear you're looking for Spider-Man."

Curie immediately threw a textbook at him. "Damnit, Amadeus. Get out of my room."

The boy winced from the impact of the book. "Ow! What the heck, Mads!"

From downstairs a raspy voice called, "Maddy be nice to your brother!"

The two kids began to argue and throw more things at each other. It was safe to assume they were siblings.

Marina interrupted their fighting. "Uh sorry, but who is this?"

Curie rolled her eyes. "This is my dorky brother, Amadeus."

The boy gave a shy wave. He actually looked a bit familiar. Amadeus was fairly short, yet still just a hair taller than Marina. Shaggy bangs covered his forehead and just barely grazed his dark brown eyes. Finally, it clicked. "Aren't you in my Biology class?"

"Oh uh yeah. You're Marina. You sit two rows ahead of me-uh well, I think," he laughed awkwardly.

The blonde furrowed her eyebrows. "Wait you guys are related and you're in the same grade. Are you like twins or something?"

Amadeus snorted. "Nope. This twerp skipped a grade and is making my life a living nightmare," said Curie.

"Anyway," the brunette continued, "is there a reason why you're here or are you just being a nuisance?"

The boy nodded. "Well, I was passing by and I overheard-"

"Eavesdropped"

"-overheard your plan. I thought I could help," he finished.

"How do you think you could help?" asked Marina.

Curie gave a pointed look. "You're not actually gonna let him help, are you?"

Marina shrugged. "If we're gonna pull this off, we need all hands on deck. It wouldn't hurt to have him around."

Her friend glared. "It would hurt. A lot."
