Fix A Heart

Chapter 4

I awoke to what sounded like someone having a hot makeout session. For Mariana and my sake, I prayed it wasn't what I thought I was hearing. I slowly turned around to see Mariana pacing back and forth with her headphones in. She quickly turned around and pulled her headphones out once she saw me. "Sorry, did I wake you?" "No, no. I just thought you were doing something else, so I wanted to check and make sure." "What did you think I was-- Oh, gross!" She screamed as she got my hint.

I rolled my eyes as I stood up and headed towards the bathroom to freshen up. Jude was already inside, brushing his teeth. "Good Morning." "Morning." He replied the best that he could with a wad of toothpaste in his mouth. "What happened? I thought you were leaving?" He questioned, once he spit the remaining toothpaste out. "It's complicated." I sighed, as I started brushing my teeth.

Once I finished brushing my teeth, I decided to hop into the shower. I turned the water onto medium and waited for it to heat up while I grabbed my phone and played random music while I started undressing. I set my phone beside the shower and hopped in.

I let the hot water cascade down my back and shoulders. I shuddered when it splashed down to where the girls beat the shit out of me on my last day in juvy. I have huge gashes on my back and legs that haven't gone away.

I washed and conditioned my hair. Afterwards, I washed my body and stepped out of the shower. My hair was always a mess after my shower, but at this point I didnt give a crap. I put my hair up into a bun and threw on an old large band tee before heading back into my room.

"That was fast." Mariana replied. "You think so? I can never tell how long I take." I muttered before starting to apply my makeup. "Callie, Mariana, Jude, Jesus. Time for breakfast!" Stef hollered as we all ran downstairs in a rush. Sometimes, it sounded like a stampeed of elephants.

I claimed my seat beside Jude and grabbed three cups filling them with orange juice. "Thanks." Jude and Mariana replied as I handed them there drinks. "No Problem." I smiled and started eating. I loved pancakes, biscuits, anything really.

We finished our breakfast in silence. "What's everyone's plans today?" Lena questioned. "I think I'm just going to stay home." I replied, nodding my head. "Okay." Stef and Lena said in usion.

I headed upstairs after I finished washing my dishes and laid down on my bed. Well, I guess today is going to be a lonely ass day.
