All of them have been touring the mansion, getting used to their new 'home' for the upcoming week.
Hoseok was playing with various toys which were left untidy since the house became abandoned.
Yoongi was admiring the paintings, on which had already settled dust deposition throughout the years.
Jungkook kept rummaging through a library checking out the old books, hidden there in front of the real world just like the worlds from the books hidden inside bundles of papers separating them away from the reality.
Namjoon targeted himself on the shelves with different statuettes, antiques or other interesting objects since he loved history and was planning to study archeology.
Jin has been inside his mind this whole time trying to remember all the memories he had about this place.
Jimin was sometimes absently smoothing things that were left on the tables also while being lost in his own mind and sometimes he was observing his friends with a smile plastered on his face.
And Taehyung? Where even was him?
Jimin also noticed while he took a glance at each friend separately. "Where is Taehyung?"
At that sentence everyone dropped what they were doing and turned their attention fully on the blonde guy.
"He was just right here next to me a moment ago," Yoongi said confused.
"I wouldn't even be surprised if he got lost in this giant place," Hoseok stated and looked towards the only door which led away from that room into the dark hallway.
Jungkook turned his gaze the way his friends pointed and also saw that something was left at the doorknob.
He came closer to it and lightly touched it.
It was a bracelet. Taehyung's bracelet.
"I think it would be the best if we go look for him. As Hoseok said it's quite possible to happen and I don't want to spend our first night here looking for Tae. Besides it's already the evening so right after we find him we're gonna have a dinner," Jin exclaimed and headed out of the room turning around if everybody will follow him, "We should go all I don't want to be looking for Tae and then all of you as well," he smiled reassuringly, "Or if any of you want you can stay and wait in here."
"No, we're all coming," Jimin smiled and watched everyone look at him and then they left the room, while some murmuring in annoyance.
He was just about to leave too but a locked drawer captured his attention. He suddenly remembered where he saw some key when he was examining the room while his friends were busy themselves. A smirk appeared on his face when he triumphantly grabbed the key from a frame of one of those pictures Yoongi had been watching.
He carefully put the key into the keyhole and it clicked. His smile grew even bigger and he quickly opened the drawer and was surprised about what was inside. Papers. He wasn't exactly surprised by the papers being inside of it but only by few of them which had caught his attention.
Jungkook realized that Jimin wasn't coming with them and that he didn't even left the room so he decided to go back there for him.
He quietly peeked into the now dimly lit room and saw Jimin how he was raking in the drawer and then pulled out some papers. He eagerly examined them and the black-haired boy was just asking himself what are those papers and why does Jimin have them now.
The old wooden floor cracked under him and the blonde looked up towards the way where the boy was peeking.
Jungkook acted quick and hid himself away from the door and then quietly walked away because he thought to himself it would seem suspicious from him to appear there out of nowhere or let Jimin find him behind the door.
