He went downstairs to the kitchen and after a minute the boy found himself face to face with a death itself, air stucked in his throat and he breathed out for the last time, "Why?"
This sentence went through Taehyung like a sharp knife. He abruptly stopped in the door and glanced over at every single person in that room. He saw five faces. Four different expressions. Three different reactions. Two different expectations. One unanswered question.
He gulped, dragging even more attention at himself, wanting to disappear instantly. "Uhm, what?"
"Yeah, exactly what?" Yoongi glared at him. "Where were you and what were you doing? Why are tour hair wet- why are you wet?"
The dark-haired boy smiled sheepishly at the last question and scratched his neck.
He looked up into Yoongi's dark eyes, "I was with Namjoon hyung an-"
He was immediately cut of by Namjoon, claiming that he left him after a while and didn't come back.
"It's because you were ignoring me so I got bored. Then I found this game or whatsoever where was written that some treasure is hidden on the island. I went to check it out because I got curious," his lips curved upwards. "But I didn't find any because I didn't understand it and the first stop is in the harbor so I went back home. " he finished with a pout. Jimin scoffed at his reason, laughing at Taehyung for being so naive. "After that I came back and-," his voice cracked in the middle of the sentence, his mind again filling the memories of previous incident and his eyes became shiny again, "and I f-found him."
Hoseok was now next to him and patted his shoulder to calm him down, his hand now doing circles on his back.
"What game was it?" The blonde asked, still suspecting him.
"Here, it was written on a paper on the table next to my stuff," he handed him the piece of paper and pointed his head towards the place where he'd found it.
Jimin took it from his hand without hesitation and analyzed the text with a little map. There was written:
THE TREASURE The treasure had been kept hidden for a long time. Go find it before the evil one will. In order to find it you have to first visit these six spots and after you do so, you will know where the treasure has been hidden and you will be able to take it. Here is the map : *picture of island with six dots, variously placed on the map* Good luck.
The blonde scrunched up his nose at how childish it was and handed the paper to Jungkook after he asked him for it.
Jungkook had his hand extended for the paper and he shivered when Jimin's hand made a contact with his and placed the paper onto his palm.
"Geez, go change yourself into something warmer and also dry your hair, you are freezing." The younger ordered to the blonde and then focused himself on the paper he was holding.
He carefully read the text so he wouldn't miss anything. Treasure? Maybe Jin played this when he was young. And then he found a proof that it really was older than fourteen years. He remembered that Jin told him about the summer house that was built just few days before the crisis they had. And the summer house isn't viewed on the map yet, so this game was created before the Kim's left the island.
Now he focused on the map. There was tenuous arrow which led out of the house. That's probably the one Taehyung had been following. And then he also noticed one thing. One thing that didn't concur with others. All of the spots were circled, probably from the person who had played this years ago, except one of them. The sixth spot was circled twice. End the second circle around it was by watercolor, varying from the other circles that were made by pencil. There was also one thing that perturb Jungkook and that was the location of the last spot. It was place of Jin's death, the kitchen.
After he was done reading it he gave it to Hoseok who was stretching his hand for it every five seconds.
He looked for Jimin to ask him if he also noticed the fact that the place of Jin's death was circled twice and that it looked quite suspicious. He saw him rummaging through their bags and then he stopped for a moment and turned around to look at Jungkook. "Do you have any plaster? I think I've cut myself."
The younger approached him quickly and glanced at his palm where was quite a long cut. He swiftly took his bag and searched for a bandage in it. After he bandaged his hand he looked up at him and met his eyes that were looking the whole time at him. "How did you manage to do this?"
Jimin looked down on his bandaged hand and smiled sheepishly with his head now pointing to his right.
The younger followed his gaze and noticed a sharp protrusion of a drawer, now slightly covered by blood. He shivered at the sight and hoped that this was the last time he saw blood while being on this island.
Yoongi was now at the end of the note and gave it again to Jungkook who asked him for it and turned to others. "What are we gonna do?"
Everybody looked up at him and Namjoon answered by asking him what he meant by that.
"Jin is dead. We don't know who the killer is. Maybe he's outside, waiting, ready to make his next move or maybe he's here with us, observing us and won't hesitate to attack again," the grey-haired boy explained.
"I suggest we find out who the killer is. Whoever did this he isn't going to make it away," Hoseok proposed.
"What? Are you crazy? The killer is somewhere near and you want to play on a detective?" Namjoon widened his eyes.
"I agree with Hoseok," the blonde slightly raised his hand. "That person should be punished."
"But he should be punished by police, not us. We've all seen what he did to Jin so we shouldn't be risking for that to happen to one of us," Yoongi stated.
At this point they all started arguing and bickering over what to do and if they should find out who is the killer or not.
"Quiet!" Jungkook roared, aiming the attention on him. "When will the sun come up we'll set off to the harbor. We will come back to Seoul and inform the Kims and the police about what happened here. Until then we will all stay in this room because after all this person is dangerous. He killed once so what makes you think he won't do it again? Noone will go anywhere alone or without someone else knowing. Understood?"
They all nodded their heads in agreement, slightly terrified of Jungkook taking all of the initiative.
"Good. Now, what were you all doing before Jin's death?"
