I stare out the train window at Hogwarts. This is the last time that I'll ride the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts.

"It's the last time." Alice says. Her words echo my thoughts eerily.

"Hey, we've still got three months here." James points out.

"Only three months to prank?" Sirius demands with a horrified expression. "How is that going to be long enough."

Peter sighs and looks at Sirius. "If you feel so strongly about it, you could fail this year and stay back for another year."

"Minnie would love that." James says sarcastically.

I smack James' arm. "Be nice."

"As my girlfriend instructs, I will be nice. Sirius, I think that's a wonderful idea and I full heartedly agree with this plan. Minnie will be overjoyed to see you again." James continues. His words practically drip with sarcasm.

"Now, you're just mocking me." Sirius exclaims. He runs his hand through his long curls. As one lifts, I see purple hair.

"Bloody hell, Sirius! You just dyed your hair brown over the purple?" I gasp in disbelief.

"Well, you wouldn't help me." Sirius says indignantly.

"Of course, I wouldn't! You called me a hoe, remember?"

"Lord save us." Alice mutters. "I don't want to endure this for the next half an hour."

"I agree with Alice." Remus says as he turns the page of his book.

"What are you reading?" I ask curiously.

Remus sighs. "Don't laugh at me." He flips the book up so the title's facing me. The Protectors. It's a muggle book. Hell, it's my book.

"You borrowed my book?" I ask, quirking an eyebrow at him.

"I had nothing else to read." Remus blushes.

I shrug. "No worries. I don't really care."

"What's it about?"

I read the back aloud. "Myra was once an ordinary girl. Or at least she thought she was. When strange events, beginning with her mother's disappearance, start happening, Myra is forced into an unknown world that plagued her mother's past. She meets a boy with a cruel malicious streak and is plunged deeper into this world. But once she starts down this life, she can't escape. She isn't normal."

"Sounds like a chick book!" Sirius declares with a smirk.

"It's well written." Remus admits.

"I wanna read it after him." Alice declares.

"Chick book." James agrees.

I roll my eyes. "Wormy, would you like to borrow my fantastic book as well?" I ask dramatically.

Peter freezes. His blue eyes grow wide and he turns red. "I-I....well...um...you know..."

Everyone starts laughing.

"I was teasing." I say with a smile.

..........

James, Remus, and Alice go ahead of me as we exit the train. I tug my trunk from the shelf. Suddenly, I hear a sniffling sound. I stop to listen. Without thinking, I open the compartment to see Sirius holding a piece of paper. Tears fall down his cheeks. He looks up at me and winces.

"What's wrong?" I ask quietly.

Sirius shakes his head. "You can't tell anyone else. I-I..."

"I won't tell anyone. You can tell me anything, Sirius."
