The Selection

Chapter 6

    Oh my goodness! Today I get to meet the prince!!! I wonder if he is as cute in person as he is on TV? I bet so! It is currently 5:40 am and I cannot go back to sleep. I always wake up at this time, and I am super excited today. My maids come in and help me get bathed, dressed, and Lilly does my makeup. My maids are called Lilly, Annie, and the head maid is called Sophie. They are incredibly kid and friendly to me. I am so lucky to have them! They have made me look better than I have ever looked before. My makeup is exactly the same as yesterday, but I am wearing my hair in a simple but gorgeous updo, and my dress is an elegant high-low, shimmery, pink champagne colored dress. It has a straight neckline of scalloped lace that cuts off about at my collarbone, and goes around my arms to my elbows. Then, the lace makes a V shape down to my waist with buttons running down the center. It's stunning. Absolutely stunning. I look royal.
          At 8:00 I head down to breakfast, where I eat with the other selected. Breakfast consists of French toast with raspberry sauce, dusted in powdered sugar, quail eggs, and pomegranate juice. It is delicious. I could eat it every day. We go back to our rooms where I freshen up, and I walk across the hall to visit Aimee. She opens her door and beams when she sees its me.
         "Oh hi Caroline! You look beautiful. Positively Royal!"
          "Thank you!" I Blush and giggle. "You can call me Carrie."
           "OK, ''Carrie''. Are you exited to meet that gorgeous prince!?"
           "Absolutely! I have had a major crush on him since I was a little girl!"
             "Really? I have only really thought about him in the past couple of years, as the selection approached."
              "I don't blame you. Some say my obsession is a tad creepy." She laughed and smiled.
              "Well, see you later Carrie!"
            And I left to meet the prince.
