A poet should be understanding and be able to sit writing on a price of paper for hours on end. There is always a spark that ignites your journey as a poet, if your first experience is a heart break there is a chance you will write sad poems or emotional poems but that's just one example, for there are many more. A poet is usually more emotional than a normal person and that could be used against you but also to your favour.
