Afghanistan Part 2

Y/N: "Im fine, what about you?"

Sergeant Rose: "Well I really shouldn't be out of the field hospital. The bullet thankfully missed my vital organs, so I should be fine."

Y/N: "Thats good" he said depressingly.

Sgt. Rose: "You sure everything is alright? You sound a bit depressed."

Y/N: "...."

Timeskip brought to you be the author going to therapy about his addiction to jumping out of planes.

1:32 AM
He dreamt of being pinned down by machine gun fire with some random soldiers, one by one they were all gunned down and he got blown up by a grenade.

Y/N woke up breathing heavily, he then calmed down after realising it was just a dream, he lay back down on his bunk. Hiss barracks seemed like it was missing two people, he then remembered the two dead squad members.

Timeskip to 6:00 AM

Y/N made his way to the briefing table which was located under camouflage netting to the edge of the base.

???: Sergeant Rose, Y/N, Private Garrigan and Private Anderson. You are to scout out the village which Sergeant Rose and Y/N were heading to yesterday, we have intel that it is housing roughly 15 Taliban soldiers, and 1 remaining sniper after Y/N took one out yesterday. You will approach from the north of the village.

Sergeant Rose: "Sir why do we even need to go there?"

???: "All you need to know is that it is housing the enemy and we need you to take them out, is that clear Sergeant?"

Sergeant Rose: " Yes sir"

Timeskip to the squad 1 mile out of the village.

Private Garrigan: "Whats the plan?"

Private Anderson: "Yea what is the plan sarge?"

Sergeant: "We will wait here till dusk so we can stealthily sneak in, remember they outnumber us."

Y/N remained quite for the walk there and while the squad waited for dusk.

No one took notice of his silence.

Timeskip to dusk

The squad moved into the village, they took out 3 sentries.

Private Anderson: "That makes 13 hostiles remaining."

Taliban soldier: "د دښمن سرتیري هلته شتون لري!" (Enemy soldiers over there)

The enemy started opening fire upon the squads position.

Everyone but Y/N started to panic and swear. But he was full of anger, he started to fire back, he dropped 5 within a minute, the rest of the squad started to open fire, but no one noticed Y/N run off and start to flank the enemy, they only noticed when they got pinned down again and didn't see him.

Sgt. Rose PoV

Sergeant Rose shouted over the gunfire: "WHERE THE FUCK IS Y/N?!?"

The two privates looked at each other confusedly and responded: "We don't know"

Y/N PoV

I ran behind the enemy, I took out my knife and slit the throats of about 4 soldiers, I was drenched in blood...

Sgt. Rose PoV

We started to run to the building in front of us, Anderson had his legs blown off by a grenade, Garrigan managed to stop the bleeding so we left him behind cover, then another grenade went off next Garrigan, his left arm and leg below the knee were pulverised by the blast.

Sergeant Rose: "FUCK!!" I started to hear less and less gunfire until there was none, but what was odd is I could swear I heard screaming...

She peeked into the courtyard where she saw Y/N pulling his knife out of a Talibans skull...

Y/N PoV
I had just finished with the last Taliban, those bastards deserved worse, I saw Sergeant Rose so I walked over to her, when I walked closer she noticed I was drenched in blood and her eyes widened.

I saw Garrigan missing his left arm and half of his left leg, I checked his pulse, he was still alive, but barely.

I had some medical supplies at hand, so I applied them the best I could, the bleeding had stopped but still he wouldn't last long without proper medical treatment, the same went for Anderson.

Y/N: "Fuck..."

He looked to the Sergeant who was bleeding from her abdomen, during the battle her wound had opened again.

Y/N: "Sarge you are bleeding" He said calmly and tossed some bandages over to her.

Sergeant Rose: "Thanks" she bandaged her wound again, when she stood up she winced in pain and muttered: "shit..."

She was limping a bit.

Y/N called for a medevac but as he reached for his radio he saw it was destroyed, a stray bullet must if hit it, also something was blocking everyones radios so that left him with a single option, he had to carry the Privates back to base which was roughly 10 Miles away, If he walked quickly he might be able to make it and the Privates would live, but the odds weren't great.

Sgt. Rose PoV

Y/N picked up the two injured then started walking quickly in the direction of the base so I followed.

Sergeant Rose: "Where the hell were you and why are you drenched in blood?!"

Y/N remained silent for the entire walk back no matter what Sergeant Rose said.

Timeskip to when Y/N and Sgt. Rose get back to base

Y/N got the two privates to the field hospital and just left to the barracks after dropping them off, Sergeant Rose followed him back hoping to find out what happened at the village.

Author here, well that was a long one.

So im still contemplating what the Sergeants name should be, ill think of it eventually

Anyway im off to writing the next chapter
