The curls of my dark purple-into-neon blue hair was sent sweeping over, and down against my shoulder blades. My senses gave me an instant ice-cold chill running down my spine.
I was not alone...
I was getting second thoughts;
'This doesn't seem safe-'
'Where am I going?'
'...This was a mistake-'

Only did I realize the smallest noises from the distance of the Unknown Woods made me take off running further into the shadows that swirled under the safety of the trees; as if having arms wide open to secure me...
-But, all I felt was pure numbness that were stunning waves hitting against my weak body; I felt like I was just snapped in to two...My increase in adrenaline was felt in beginning to run out, and at one point where I am unsure of my surroundings...
I was lost, where only the dim light of the full moon shown me the way.

My lungs heaved for breathe as I lost count of my steps.
'100...'
'101...'
-It was pointless; no where I was heading. Down the same...darkening path, that continued on, and on.
Was there an end?

'Focus, Brooke- get your mental shit together...'
It only came to the point where I could not walk any longer; my feet worn out to the bone. How they ached, I could not bare, but let out a groan of complain.
With sight that worked perfection through the thick darkness around me, I could sight out a moldy stump of a tree to sit on, with enough moonlight that glistened over the stumps' sighting. I trudged forward, digging the tips of my feet into the rich soil, that felt like it sank every step I took...
-I made it, just before I was ready to just...collapse. Sitting on the moldy stump, it ran sensation of relief through my entire body. Satisfaction for my worn-out feet in getting a-while rest.
'Maybe I could rest here- for the Night?'

-And came conclusion, of force of the wave of laziness upon me; I laid myself in a random patch of long growing wheat, oddly located in a moldy population, only inches from the moldy stump that I just sat on.
From the first flutter close of my silver
eyes, shift in sense began to become triggered...'I am NOT alone- I can sense it...'
'Am I supposed to act dead?'
I left my eyes closed, letting a light breeze run past the tall wheat that swayed above, and over my body; the perfect spot in sight of the vivid full moon.
'I will be safe for the Night...' I murmured to myself, in assurance.

A shadow covering over my eyelids, sent me through wave of panic and curiosity. A light sleeper, I was that night...
-And I opened my eyes, to see a pair of gazing arctic blue eyes staring right back into my silver pupils; many moments that passed by, that no word came from the lingering stranger that stood over me.
The boy's eyes narrowed.
"Who are you?"
"My name's...Brooke?"
I felt uncertain of telling the strange boy my name...
"-and, you are?"
"The name's Hayden..."
He replied right back, quick.
