I slowly opened my eyes and shut them back instantly as the light was killing my eyes.
i slowly opened them once again and blinked a few times getting used to the brightness. "your finally awake" my older sister, Cordelia, say as i turn slowly to face her.
"how long have i been out for?"
"around a day, how are you feeling?"
"weak and thirsty" as she pours me a glass of water and hands it to me, helping me sit up as i slowly drink every last drop of water from the glass. I slowly hand the now empty glass back to her and looked around as i rest against the pillow.
Soon after the doctor walks in with a smile on his face "how are you feeling rosie?".
That voice, i recognize it...it was the third to last thing i hear before i blacked out. "i'm feeling okay, just a little weak"
"That's normal since you lost quite a bit of blood there but don't worry you will be feeling a lot better after getting more rest and food in your system" he says with a smile as i nod.
~Hours later~
i sat in bed reading a book, Cordelia had left 30 minutes ago for work so i was left alone. I closed my book and placed it on the side table to take a rest. I closed my eyes as i started to relax until i heard a sudden chuckle and my eyes shoot open as i look at the corner of the room and saw someone standing there.
" I think you've been resting enough little Rosie "
i stared at him as he slowly got closer and closer, that voice its the same one in my dreams and the same one that's been haunting me for as long as i could remember.
" The scars on your arms are still there " he says as he touches my arm looking at the marks.
I pulled away quickly and moved back to get further from him " what are you doing here? why are you still here? haven't you done enough?!"
His eyes suddenly got real dark "no i haven't done enough!" he suddenly picks me up and throws me across the room. The hospital machines all got detached from me and started beeping non stop as he picked me up by the neck.
"Use that tone on me again, i think you already forgotten the shit i can do to you. I can make your life more of a living hell and i'm sure you don't want that" he says as i look at him gasping for air as he tightens his grip around my neck.
There's suddenly loud banging on the door and i hear the doctor "Rosie please open up the door"
He lets go of my neck causing me to drop straight to the ground as i hold onto my neck coughing hard, trying to catch my breath.
"Remember what i said dear Rosie" i heard him but don't see him anywhere, he just disappeared. i turned to look at the door as it burst open and the doctor came running in with nurses beside him as he kneels in front of me.
"Are you okay Rosie" i stared up at him as he examine every inch of me for any injuries. I looked down as i suddenly burst into tears, leaning my head against him as he hugs me and rubs my back trying to calm me down.
"Its okay now Rosie" he say as i kept quiet because deep down i knew it was not okay. Everything was not okay.
~The next morning~
I woke up pretty early as the doctor walks in and smiles at me
"You feeling better Rosie?" he ask as i nod a little
"When can i leave?"
"You should be able to leave tomorrow but if you don't mind me asking, what happened yesterday" I just stare up at him with no answer, i didn't know whether to tell him or not
"Its okay, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" he says with a smile as i nod.
"Erm...i don't actually know your name still"
"It's Noah, Noah Collins or Dr Noah. i thought you would have already known since its on my tag" he says with a smile
"i didn't notice" I look down at my hands likes it the most interesting thing on earth
"its okay, anyways just relax now okay. your meal will be here soon" he says as i nod mumbling a Thank you before he leaves.
