Kylie(me) and tanner imagine

Part 2

We slide down and I find a plate of chocolate strawberries at my feet. I look over at Tanner, to make sure they're for me. He just nods and I pick them up and together we head to a picnic table.

Tanner picks up a strawberry an waves it around, making airplane noises. I laugh, and he brings the strawberry to my mouth. He smothers the chocolate all over my mouth and kisses me to get it off.

Tanner grabs my hand and starts running to his truck.

"Where are we going now?" I ask. He just looks back at me and smiles. Tanner drives to a little carnival around the corner. We get out and he pulls me to a photo booth. We take pictures, the first one smiling, the next silly, the third kissing, and the last one he leaves, the picture capturing the confusion on my face.

I get out to find him walking back to his truck. I jog to catch up to him.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"To my truck. I assume you're coming with me."

"Um, duh." I say and get in the truck. He drives with no explanation of where we're going next. When he pulls up to a very nice and expensive restaurant I say, "oh, Tanner, we're not going here, are we?"

"Heck yeah we are." Tanner says and starts heading inside. We only wait for a few minutes before a waitress comes towards is and asks, "are you the Myler's?"

I look at Tanner because he made it sound like we were married or something. He only smiles and follows the waitress to a table set for two. We sit and the waitress hands us our menus. While I'm looking at my menu, I can hear Tanner breathing rather sharply.

"Is everything okay?" I ask looking over my menu at him.

"Oh, yeah. Everything's just grand." Tanner says. I can see beads of sweat forming on his forehead. I look back at my menu. I decide what I want and put it down to find Tanner on one knee next to me.

I gasp when he pulls out a little box and opens it to reveal a gorgeous ring. I press my hand on my mouth to keep from screaming of excitement.

"Kylie Camille Gardner, you are the love of my life. I fell in love with you the first time I saw you. It was definently love at first sight. I was just wondering, if you would take my hand in marriage."

I manage a nod and nearly knock him over with a hug. "Yes. Yes, if course!" I say, kissing him like I never have before. I hear clapping and cheering and I stand up with Tanner and we raise our hands in the air in triumph.

He puts the ring on my finger and kisses my hand. I kiss him again and again. "I'm so happy!" I say against his lips. I can hardly believe it.
